More California voters are now unhappy with Governor Gavin Newsom than at any point since 2024, according to a new poll.
A new survey by Emerson College found that 45% of voters disapprove of the governor’s job performance— the highest number since October 2024 and a six-point increase from December 2025.
Among 1,000 registered voters, Newsom had an approval rate of 44%, a three-point drop from December, the poll found.
In October 2024, the governor’s disapproval rating stood at just 43%.
Newsom’s office did not respond to a request for comment regarding the figures.
The poll also asked voters about the top issues facing Californians, with 37% citing the economy as their No. 1 concern — up three points from December. Nineteen percent cited housing affordability as the state’s top issue.

Since 1992 (Bill Clinton) there were 9 elections for President. California voted for the Dem 9 out of 9 times.

And it was not just fraud, what happened in the 90’s? That is when the flood of illegals into the southwest states grew into a flood, and democrats in certain areas took advantage of this by registering their names into voter rolls and then did ballot stuffing. That way they could claim that the population and voter amounts matched up (ignoring that the population increase was illegals)

Have to admit your new comments are good ones. The whole country is cheated out of an honest electoral college and US House representation when CA counts the non citizens hanging around in the state to be counted in the census. Millions around the US but especially in the southern border states.
The voters at large are far left of center and denying that reality is to...well...deny reality.
I voted for Elder. He might have been the best available candidate.
There are no major, state-level GOP politicians in California. So the GOP tries to recruit billionaires or celebrities.
