One person was arrested after a drive-by shooting in South Portland, Monday morning.
Portland Police officers first responded to a report of shots fired in the 3700 block of SE Van Water Street, near SE 36th Avenue and SE Johnson Creek Boulevard, around 11:20 a.m.
According to investigators, the victim called 911, reporting that their car was hit by gunfire. The victim was not injured and was able to give police a description of the suspect's vehicle.
Officers later found the suspect's vehicle in the parking lot of the 24 Hour Fitness located in the 4500 block of SE McLoughlin Boulevard. Witnesses told police the suspect went inside the gym, discarded something, and then left. Police arrested the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Kordayle ReLa Dorley, as he exited the gym. Officers later recovered a handgun inside the gym.

Dorley was booked into jail on charges of attempted murder, first-degree attempted assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
Investigators have not released a possible motive in this incident, nor have they said if Dorley knew the victim.
This case remains under investigation.

What are the odds in unincorporated Clackamas County, that the gentleman arrested 10 blocks from my house is black?
1.1% of Clackamas County is black, the unincorporated areas like this Oak Grove address even less so.

You are not paying attention. Blacks despite what UpChuck Screwmer and Hukkem Jeffries say, have drivers licenses which make them mobile.
It has a nice cadence. It could be used as a refrain in a song. Kind of like "Thela Hun Ginjeet" by King Crimson, which is appropriate in this case. The song title is an anagram of "heat in the jungle," and it's about crime in the city.
(If you watch the video, take note of Bill Bruford's "cool as a cucumber" playing style. He employed economy of motion - sort of the anti-Keith Moon.)

When you hear shooting it is almost always a melanated resident of South East Portland. If not fully melanated, lighter melanation with a Latino last name. That’s the reason Multnomah county jail stopped releasing mugshots
