Mayor Zohran Mamdani called for abolishing ICE during a gushing interview on ABC’s “The View” on Tuesday.
The socialist mayor told the hosts he doesn’t see federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents doing anything to help public safety.
“I am in support of abolishing ICE. What we see is an entity that has no interest in fulfilling its stated reason to exist,” Mamdani said.
Mamdani claimed deportation raids would “rip” the Big Apple apart.
“We are talking about people whose crimes simply seems to be being in New York City and if they make good on this threat and would rip the civic fabric of the city apart,” Hizzoner argued.
He also doubled down on calling the shooting of Renee Good by an ICE agent “murder” — and making it clear he would uphold the city’s sanctuary city laws in the face of threats of funding cuts from the Trump administration.

Mamdani and others say “murder”. Jeffries talks about “depraved indifference to human life.” But if you use the same words talking about abortion, their heads explode and they start talking about the separation of church and state.

Marxist Mayor Zohran Mamdani does not want ICE to rid New York’s streets of the child rapists, murderers, violent gang members, drug runners, drug dealers, drug manufacturers and etc. by non-citizen criminals the Biden Administrated allowed into America with their open-borders policy. Many of them were from countries that let their criminals out of their jails and insane asylums [something America should have again].
Mamdani wants to raise new taxes out of New Yorkers who are frightened by the rising crime he has allowed. For these Marxists, it’s all about the taxes to redistribute wealth from the “Haves” to the “Have Nots” to buy votes and power.
