President Donald Trump on Wednesday called for a staggering 50% increase to the previously proposed military budget to bring the total up to $1.5 trillion.
In the Wednesday afternoon Truth Social post, Trump claimed the budget increase was “for the good of our country,” citing “very troubled and dangerous times”:
After long and difficult negotiations with Senators, Congressmen, Secretaries, and other Political Representatives, I have determined that, for the Good of our Country, especially in these very troubled and dangerous times, our Military Budget for the year 2027 should not be $1 Trillion Dollars, but rather $1.5 Trillion Dollars. This will allow us to build the “Dream Military” that we have long been entitled to and, more importantly, that will keep us SAFE and SECURE, regardless of foe.
Further down the post, the president said the U.S. government will be able to make such a huge increase due to additional revenue supposedly brought in from his sweeping tariffs:
If it weren’t for the tremendous numbers being produced by Tariffs from other Countries, many of which, in the past, have “ripped off” the United States at levels never seen before, I would stay at the $1 Trillion Dollar number but, because of Tariffs, and the tremendous Income that they bring, amounts being generated, that would have been unthinkable in the past (especially just one year ago during the Sleepy Joe Biden Administration, the Worst President in the History of our Country!), we are able to easily hit the $1.5 Trillion Dollar number while, at the same time, producing an unparalleled Military Force, and having the ability to, at the same time, pay down Debt, and likewise, pay a substantial Dividend to moderate income Patriots within our Country!
I want my money back from all the fraud first.
Simple: all these fantastic weapons need fantastic minds to operate and maintain them.

Outstanding idea. Open a few daycare facilities in a Somalian immigrant community and we will have the money for the army at no cost to taxpayers.

President Trump I don’t want any boys living that way again.

Well, crudely stating it, Reagan got the USSR to cave by building up the military.
With Tim Walz blathering on about using the Minnesota NG to go up against the US military, we might need help. Does the Minnesota NG have any Somalis? I doubt it. I think the Somalis are strictly loyal to Somalia and big little Somalia there in Minneapolis.
Many of us thought the C-rations were better than the early MREs during the switchover, the early MREs were dismal with a lot of dehydrated stuff.

OK, but be very good to the troops, sailors, airmen, and Corps.
A president Newsome, Whitmer, or Shapiro some day may order our military to do things Trump would not propose, and the war fighters will remember real leadership.
Charles Mayo, from West Virginia..dude would disappear into the jungle and come back with leaves and stems, roots from plants, and cook it with the ham and lima beans. Horrible stuff, unGodly nearly. But like I say he was from West Virginia so we took that into account.
How about setting up a two-ledger system? Normal Americans who live and work in CONUS Alaska Hawaii pay for the defense of the territorial US; while Globohomo Multinational Corporations, the EU Leaches, and the MIGA AIPAC pay for the portions of our military that defend THEIR interests.
I would like a dream dollar.
Worked with a guy who was at Vietnam. Said there were 16 C-Rations. He said the beans and franks were the best, some greasy pork gravy was the worst. Said they were always in the same order in the box. The cooks would turn the box upside down to hide but once one person selected, everyone knew what the others were.
Let’s send another trillion into the void! It’s worked so well the last 38 times we did it!

This points us towards war IMHO.
As a side note, the army came out with a new ration last year called “Near Combat”, if I remember correctly. 2800 calories and lighter and less packaging. Troop tested and approved.
