I always enjoyed Fred Wiche’s garden reports back in the 1970’s.

It is heart-warming to see how many folks thought so much of Rush. I listened to every show of his that I could, but it was difficult trying to hear in an often noisy shop while I was working. Then I think he had discontinued broadcasting about the time I retired & had lots of time to listen. He is forever missed. I’ve never heard of anyone who could come close to filling his shoes in radio broadcasting.

I had the good fortune of being able to have a radio next to my head over the course of four different jobs.

I discovered Rush Limbaugh in 1998, while the Clinton crimes syndicate was still in control. A friend of mine, retired navy chief, had said “you need to listen to this guy, he’s spot-on…”

The man had a powerful voice that unnerved those in Power. He had a talent that was genuine and thoroughly warmly human. He was an American man that loved his country, and had a giant heart. And he hated to see what the Democrats were doing to this country with their RINO buddies. So he used the talent that God gave him to call them out on the carpet about it.

Every single person that’s born has a purpose… Some people spend their whole life and never find it. Rush was one of those fortunate few who realized his purpose and pursued it and embraced what God had put before him, regardless of the consequences.

He was hated by hateful people, and he made all the right enemies; true to form with the old World War II saying, “you don’t take FLAK unless you’re over the Target”… that amazing brain of his was over the target 99.9% of the time.

He was loved by many many more folks though, and provided education and enlightenment to those looking for it.

For myself, I miss his voice very much. He’s resting in peace now… He earned it. We should all be so fortunate to have that set about us at the end of our time.

Yes Hale! I Remember Listening to Rush because of my parents early in the Nineties!
I would sit in my car if at work to listen on the radio on my lunch break!

No One else was so articulate as him or so right in relaying Conservatism against The Radical Left and those weak RINOS that stabbed US in the back!

Thanks for sharing as we all miss the Golden Microphone from God’s Ear to You!

I love that our President Trump Honored Rush Limbaugh while he was among us to be acknowledge by All that dearly loved his wisdom and of course his humor!

At some point they quit calling it WHAS radio “84” and went with “840” - the actual numbers on the dial. I had never heard another AM station not use the full numbers other than that one. I guess whatever new parent company they got at some point just told them to drop the “84” abbreviation.
