Years ago in NC, a white woman was shoved off of her bicycle and an AA man tried to rape her. She used her mace on him and he shot her and killed her. He was found guilty of 2nd degree murder, not first degree, because the jury decided she maced him first. I can’t remember all of the details as this was in the early 90’s.
