FReepers of a certain vintage will recall that strange species of missive, the “Opus.” Periodically members would leave, but would pen an “Opus,” the lengthy explanation. I never quite understood these; they seemed a bit self-important to me.
Today is my 25th anniversary on FR. I’m not going to anywhere, so this is my “No-Pus.” Many thanks to my FRiends for this great community. Apologies if I’ve ever been unduly unkind.
As of today I have 12,777 replies, 1.4 per day on average for 25 years. When I post a stat like this, some of my FRiends will point out that they have 200,000 or 300,000 posts and replies. All I can do is promise to try harder in my next 25 years.

I hit 25 years in February, but lurked for a couple of years before setting up an account. 498 threads and 16,140 replies so far (this makes 16,141 replies).
Made me go look at my FR b-day: Feb. 3, 2000. I’m late in claiming my 25th anniversary since it is now nearly 26years. Congrats on your time here - looking forward to more!

I signed up during the electoral battle, too, after lurking for a couple years. We Freeped downtown Dallas and the Congressman’s office in Rockwall.
My homemade sign said, “Cartago delenda est.” I figured no DemocRat would understand it, even if they knew Al Gore was from Carthage. Guess I’d get a visit from the FBI today. Virginius Rufus ought to get it though!
