Explanation: Fifty three years ago, in December of 1972, Apollo 17 astronauts Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt spent about 75 hours on the Moon exploring the Taurus-Littrow valley, while colleague Ronald Evans orbited overhead. This snapshot from another world was taken by Cernan as he and Schmitt roamed the lunar valley's floor. The image shows Schmitt next to the lunar rover parked along the south rim of Shorty Crater. That location is near the spot where geologist Schmitt discovered orange lunar soil. The Apollo 17 crew returned with 110 kilograms of rock and soil samples, more than was returned from any of the other lunar landing sites. And for now, Cernan and Schmitt are the last to walk on the Moon.

Ok... who took this picture?
IN before the, ‘This was FAKED on a Hollywood Sound Stage’ Crowd shows up, LOL!
Cernan.
What looks like a second astronaut behind the first is actually just equipment on the rover.
I would suggest that it looks like the life support backpack.
Yes, I believe you’re right.

Un-possible, it was all staged.
Wow.
The good old days when America was doing ok outside of the Vietnam antiwar protestors it was an awesome time.
Great photo, I wonder where we are today.
Thoughts associated with deep fools.
There’s a pretty girl behind every tree.
Fake
One of the Astronauts. There were two (2) on each of the missions that performed EVA on the lunar surface. Hope this helps.
It is arguable that America peaked in 1968 - while the Apollo 11 was the successful completion of President Kennedy’s challenge, Apollo 8 was kind of the proof of concept, and it was pretty much a done deal at that point. Orbiting the Moon on Christmas Eve and reading from the Book of Genesis. How cool is that? And nobody has come close to anything like it since.
All those guys had cajones, it is absolutely remarkable. The government and industry can do amazing things when they want to.
Sadly, the current state of our country shows most if not all of are problems are because too many in government wants it this way. No other explanation is possible.
Nobody to push around, or tax, on the moon.
Sorry, but I’m debunking your conspiracy theory.
The two grays standing just beyond the horizon confirm that this painting is legit.
