Lizzo believes we, as a society, must “undo the effects of the Ozempic boom” because plus-sized women are being “erased.”
The musician, 37, took to Substack on Sunday to share an essay titled, “Why is everybody losing weight and what do we do? Sincerely, a person who’s lost weight.”
Lizzo, who began shedding pounds in the fall of 2023 following a very public harassment and hostile work environment scandal, confessed that the ordeal made her “deeply suicidal.”

“We’re in an era where the bigger girls are getting smaller because they’re tired of being judged. And now those bigger girls are being judged for getting smaller by the very community they used to empower,” she argued.
“There’s nothing wrong with living in a bigger body. There’s nothing wrong with being fat. But if a woman wants to change, she should be allowed to change.”
According to Lizzo, “extended sizes are being magically erased from websites,” “plus sized models are no longer getting booked for modeling gigs” and “all of our big girls are not-so big anymore.”

Whale, cow are you?

Hey Lizzo, it’s unhealthy to be fat. It causes all kinds of problems for the obese person as well as for society. I say this as an overweight woman who is 20-30 lbs above my recommended BMI, although I kept myself trim for 50 yrs until about 10 yrs ago when no matter what I did, I couldn’t lose weight. I can’t even imagine how frustrating that would be for ppl who are 100 lbs overweight, but I also can’t imagine how they got that way. Maybe because social influencers told them it was okay.
So the woman who was extremely obese and used Ozempic to lose weight is complaining that fat women are using Ozempic to lose weight?
Watta an airhead. She has no idea what she’s talking about.
Dear Ms. Plus:
In a truly free country I would not be paying taxes to cover your medical care; but as things stand, your imprudent choices are costing me money. I may also be helping to pay for the food you overeat. So yes I want plus sizes to go away.
PS: Your suspicions are correct, I’m a size 0.
“Plus-sized models have a place in showing plus-sized customers how an article of clothing would look on them, but just having them in a photo shoot for diversity’s sake is absurd.”
And that isn’t helping move merchandise. When I’m on Amazon and checking out the different images of an item of clothes, I stay interested — UNTIL I see the item on a fat chick. It grosses me out, and I’m turned off.
I’m not a thin person and could lose about 20 lbs., but I like to see attractive models. I don’t know what has happened to Marketing “professionals”. Bud Lite tranny. Cracker Barrel remodel. Jaguar freaks. Nike “Own The Floor” jumping black fat chick.
Cooling high carb food (pasta, rice, potatoes) for 24 hours helps via resistant starch. Reduces calories and is better re insulin.

Reminds me of how Big Mike whines about how terrible her/his life has been.
I read that Sharon Osborne was on Ozempic and said that the side effects are “horrific”.
Being fat is bad for you. It’s that simple. Fat is anything but “beautiful” and adding Spandex makes me want to puke.
She’s “rationalizing” in the wrong direction. If your first concern is what other people may think or have thought then don’t go crying about it once you’ve taken on the additional weight of maintaining your weight-loss program. It must not be as easy as the manufacturers make it look. The world doesn’t have a real need to know, so just go ahead and do it without so much fanfare, or do you need the support of your entire fanbase when it comes to doing something about your own health?
“Big legged ain’t got no soul...” Led Zeppelin
Big legged woman! Dammit shotgun!!! Still too early to be posting.
Hmmmm, how long before Ozempic becomes racist for "erasing" some black women??
