I got the key, it is in the little red riding hood story, what big eyes you have.

Either that, or it is one of those IQ tests which ask how the image on the left differs from the one on the right.

Ancient people “disappeared” from an area for 3 reasons. Drought, pestilence, or murder by neighbors. Seems the residents of Teotihuacan fell victim to door number 3.

Nahuatl is related to Indian languages of the US Southwest (Uto-Aztecan family). It doesn’t seem likely that the language was spoken in the Teotihuacan area so early.

The Ilopango Caldera in El Salvador volcano erupted in the years 539–540 AD. This eruption ejected a huge amount of ash, leading to widespread global cooling (about -2 to -4 degrees) known as the Late Antique Little Ice Age and also put tons of sulfur into the atmosphere which rained down in the waterways and on the crop fields.

Famine, disease, conquerers, disastrous weather, or any combination of those would wipe out a civilization quickly enough.

The worst year in history (according to some) was 536 AD.

Think that might have had something to do with it?

As a general rule a civilization can survive three years of bad harvests. Any more and things fall apart.

My first three guesses...

(1) Drought

(2) Epidemic

(3) Psychopathic leadership, backed up by a psychopathic army, like Pol Pot in Cambodia
