Aldi has good stuff.
“It’s challenging to find info about where Choceur chocolate comes from”

A bit off topic but it’s It’s challenging to find info about where many Aldi products come from......I know, ever since I started noticing much of their frozen seafood originates in china of all places.
Many products just state “product of Aldi” or some such.....rarely will I buy those products.
Having said all that, we shop at Aldi often......just have to be careful.
Mr. GG2 eats that chocolate all the time.
Happened to be dining on half an MR bar as I scanned latest posts. It’s good not great, a little too sweet and cloying, but authentic Swiss-style chocolate. Ghirardelli 86% is where it’s at.
Shopped Aldi once. Never went back. Just not my kind of store (prefer Publix).
Also, Werther’s has gone downhill fast in the last few years (Covid?). Too much carnauba wax, less cream, sugar and butter.
Europe, especially Germany, has loved chocolate since before the 20th Century. Before 1900 they even had chocolate vending machines.

Some of their chocolate makers still exist.
I like everything about Aldi
That chocolate and chili combo is INCREDIBLE. You wouldn’t think so... until you tried it.
I like the special chocolates they have at Christmas time.
Both Aldi and Lidl have nice Holiday specialties.
When I was in Germany, it was obvious they made the best dark chocolate.
Don’t know about their chocolate but their jarred tomato sauces come within 90% of Rao’s quality at half the price. I just dont buy or like my vegd wrapped in plastic containers.
I love the Gustav Klimt-ish art deco lettering.
Orange Jaffa Cakes. Deadly.
There was an Aldi next to my apartment in Berlin. Great little store that saved a ton of money. Breakfast and lunch basics for the apartment and then a stop at IKEA for dinner.
Asked AI “where does Choceur source its chocolate from?” It says,
Choceur sources its cocoa beans directly from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms, primarily located in West Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
I don’t eat dark chocolate, and prefer milk chocolate. I’m a fan of Giaradelli’s Milk Chocolate Salted Caramel Wafers...and Whoppers, even though they are made by Hershey. I don’t like Hershey Chocolate bars. I always liked Nestle’s Milk Chocolate Bars, but they don’t make them in bar size anymore. They only come in miniature size in a bag with the rest of the crap they make that I won’t eat.
