On Monday, former Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey – once President Trump’s top pick to lead the FBI – will be sworn into a new power-sharing role with deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino.
Bailey’s installment comes at a perilous time for FBI Director Kash Patel, whose leadership atop the nation’s premier law enforcement agency is under fire, according to ten sources from multiple federal offices granted anonymity to speak freely. The White House’s reasoning to create an unprecedented office for Bailey has not been explained and left FBI leadership confused, two people at the agency said.
"The White House, Bondi, Blanche have no confidence in Kash," one source with knowledge of ongoing personnel discussions said. "Pam in particular cannot stand him. Blanche either," they said, referring to Attorney General Pam Bondi and her deputy, Todd Blanche.
Bondi and Blanche denied the characterization, and White House officials denied any plans to remove Director Patel from his position.
But allies of President Trump and Patel’s harshest critics have begun to circulate word that contingency plans for Patel’s ouster are forming. They also claim his hopeful successor, Andrew Bailey, made clear that he would not leave his post as Missouri’s AG – or abandon his aspirations to run for state governor – only to serve as Patel’s number two.

This Heinrich chick is the go-to source for disgruntled RINOs.
ALWAYS question “unnamed sources.” They are after Kash.
Remember Rush: “They will tell you who they fear,” so my first reaction is, he must be pretty damned effective.
“””The news has that certain “anonymousality”....................””””””””””””””””
The technical phrase for that is...making stuff up.
I’m skeptical. He’s only in “hot water” from the keyboard armies who don’t want him.
Until or unless you see ANYTHING critical of him by Trump, I’d totally disregard reports or impressions even of “how he sounded.”
Rush: “They will tell you who they fear.”
“I heard him on Fox and Friends this morning. He definitely wanted folks to know it was all about him and what he did to capture the assassin. He’s the one who got the photos out early, he’s the one who walked the scene down himself to help the FBI capture the guy, he’s the one who spoke out too soon on a capture, but it was only because that is what he was told... so on, so forth. He’s in hot water and he knows it, so he had to let everyone know he was engaged and helping the FBI do things faster and with more transparency than ever before.”
I had the same thought about his speech to the press the morning after they caught the perpetrator. It sounded like a campaign speech for the FBI rather than an information disclosure session. All he talked about was how good the FBI was under his direction and trying to repair the image of the FBI.
“ People just do not seem to understand the amount of corruption that is out there.”
Well, the people who do know, need to see a strong leader here. Now.
Patel is going nowhere.
Infighting within the administration is exactly what the enemy left wants. Don’t stoke the fire.
If he had just fired everyone and shut the whole corrupt agency down like he said he would, we wouldn’t still be dealing with these commie thugs.
He became a fanboy the day he got his badge. They haven’t returned the admiration.
well, repairing the image of the FBI is an important part of his job. the FBI was on its knees under Wray/Biden. for me his finding the burn bags makes him worth his weight in gold. i think there are those who fear what the release of that material will mean. Rs and Ds. i suggest that those who don’t think he is doing his job follow the different local FBI X posts - they’ve been quite busy rounding up scoundrels.
He better take charge of Charlie’s case instead of letting that lefty loony governor being front and center gaslighting and covering for the many who were either directly involved or at least knew and didn’t report it ahead of time.
apparently his PR isn’t very good, and neither is Bondi’s
they seem compelled to say something when it might be better to say nothing indicating more time is required. Bongino has done exactly this, and it works
Not a fan of the reporterette Jacqui. She barely disquises her TDS.
I don’t agree with the conclusions of this ‘reporter’. Number one, he doesn’t speak for ‘most’ Maga, and number 2, he has no idea what MAGA thinks. I think Most MAGA understands how strong the Deep State is, and support what Kash Patel is doing.
Down in the thread, some have twigged onto "two." TEN. With so many anonymous testimonies on so many subjects, the whiff of bovine excrement becomes ever more pungent.
I understand, but that was not the priority of the press conference. It was not a back patting session for himself. He shared nothing at all about the crime or the evidence, only what a great job his FBI is now doing under his watch.
It had the feel of him being opportunistic at a time when it was not the true priority or problem at hand. Had he just mentioned this concept once it would have been fine to toss that in. But he repeated the same back patting message three times in different words and never did address the crime or evidence it’s self.
Like I say, it more had the feeling of a campaign speech for his position as director.
This is not helpful. Let him do his job.

What is his job?
It has been 5 days since Charlie was shot. There were conversations on social media talking about the assassination before Charlie was shot.
We still do not know who Crooks associates (Butler, PA) were. Clearly, Crooks was not a lone wolf. A good man was murdered at Butler, PA. Trump was almost killed.
We still do not know who planted the pipe bomb at the DNC. Also, Florida governor DeSantos has stated the FBI impeded the State of Florida investigation of the golf course assassination in which the guy critically injured a six year old in his get away attempt.
Will 5 days with no arrest of conspirators turn into 50 days, or 500 days? 20 years? Or 50+ years as in the Kennedy assassination?
Is the FBI a legitimate federal police agency, or does it manage coverups? They surely and swiftly went after the Catholics, uppity grandmas at school board meetings, and the J6ers.
Is Cash Patel going to investigate the Charlie Kirk assassination conspirators, or is it his job to make excuses?
He did commit a major, unforced error in originally claiming that they had caught the perpetrator when in fact, they had the wrong guy in custody. I think he has done an excellent job and rooting out the cancerous left from the FBI. Once that mission has been completed, it is probably time to bring in a more traditional FBI director.
Nothing but a liberal wet dream.
Wishful thinking by the fake news media.
Correction: golf course assassination = golf course assassination attempt
