There are a lot of people talking about not seeing Tyler Robinson leaving the rooftop with the rifle. But I don't see anyone asking if he could even made the shot. I'm no expert, but taking a single shot and killing your target at 200 yards requires more than a little experience shooting a gun. At that range the bullet is going to be affected by wind (if there was any), by a drop of several inches (or more) due to gravity, and shooting from a higher elevation is going to require compensation.
Where did Tyler Robinson learn enough to shoot at that distance?
Just stop it
I could teach you how to hit a target at 200 yards from a prone position in an afternoon. In a couple of sessions it would feel like the most normal thing in the world.
A 200 yard shot with a 30 06 with a scope is a chip shot. If you never picked up a rifle before, you could do it on your first day at the range.
Please. The average Fudd could easily make that shot. And most are not known to be skilled marksman.
He did kill him... And he will shortly be charged and convicted of killing him... And his only conspirators will be the voices in his head.
Thomas Matthew Crooks almost assassinated President Trump from the roof of a building. We know as little about his marksmanship than we do about Robinson.
It’s not that hard. With a decent rifle and scope, and 30.06 ammo, 200 yards isn’t that tough a shot. If the assassin was aiming for a head shot, then a shot to the neck makes sense.
That range with a 30-06 is something I could teach my grandmother to do in an hour.
I’m not a hunter either, but it’s my understanding that it’s more like 175 yards, and not a difficult shot for an experienced person at that range. Have you seen the pictures of him with guns, including a rifle, during his growing up years. I think consensus is it’s not extraordinary at all.
People saw someone on the roof in the days before the shooting, so whoever it was would have been able to determine the exact distance for sighting the rifle.
Just go to a range with a 200 yard field and sight the rifle to be dead on at 200 yards or whatever the exact distance was.
At that point the average deer hunter could probably make the shot.
200 yards with a scope and a 30-06; not a challenging shot at all. POS kills fantastic guy. And even if he gets the death penalty and it’s carried out trading something you’d scrape off your shoe for Charlie Kirk isn’t close to balancing out.
No way he did it!
The gun did it!
*You* could have made that shot.
Enough, move on.
It was 400 feet.
And even though there was an elevation difference the vertical line was easy.
He might have been aiming for center of mass and hit a little high because he didn’t know the adjustment. Given that it was a 30.06, either placement would have been effective.
I go with he could have easily have made the shot.
On the roof about to commit murder and a day at the range are really different experiences.
Go find a hobby and leave the real world to those who live in it.
This “I know the REAL” story garbage is childish especially when is so clearly fantasy.
Here we go again....
The other factors come into effect at longer yardage.
200 yards is an extremely easy shot with a scope rifle. Please stop spreading this BS.
If it was a 500 to 600 yard shot then we could talk
