A semi-truck transporting eight Tesla EVs caught fire on the 5 Freeway in Los Angeles, leading to extensive road closures and significant traffic disruptions on Saturday evening. The Los Angeles Fire Department has not disclosed the cause of the inferno that required a massive team of firefighters to put out.
KTLA reports that a semi-truck carrying a load of Tesla vehicles became engulfed in flames on the southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway in Sylmar, a suburban neighborhood of Los Angeles, at about 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) swiftly responded to the scene to combat the blaze which required a massive number of first responders and equipment to contain.
LAFD told Breitbart News that the cause of the fire had not been determined as of Monday morning. This article will be updated when additional information is available.
According to video footage from the incident, the truck was hauling at least eight Tesla vehicles when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle caught fire. The flames rapidly spread, consuming both the truck and several of the cars on the trailer. The intense fire posed a significant challenge for firefighters as they worked to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to the remaining vehicles.

Another reason I don’t want a Tesla...It could turn into a fire ball while I’m in Walmart.
Any anti-Tesla Nazi Gooks around with Molotovs? America freeloaders would be proud. The gray-haired Yellowstone Buffalo Socialists.
“...the cause of the fire had not been determined as of Monday morning. This article will be updated when additional information is available.”
No, it won’t. You’ll see no more about it.
Might only take one bullet in the wrong place to trigger
“Another reason I don’t want a Tesla...It could turn into a fire ball while I’m in Walmart.”
LOL! Tesla don’t have diesel engines!
“The third-party logistics (3PL) semi-truck caught fire first.
“No, it won’t. You’ll see no more about it.”
Yes you will! See my previous.
Awhile back I read an article (posted here?) that said a gasoline-powered car is statistically more likely to spontaneously combust than an EV.
Maybe I’m missing something. But I don’t buy that. When is the last time a gasoline-powered car just sitting there blew up?
Does not compute !
Walmart and tesla do not mix
Not without help...................Think ‘MAFIA’.............
Tesla wouldn’t bend the truth like advertise full self driving or anything.
“Tesla wouldn’t bend the truth like advertise full self driving or anything.”
You wouldnt bend the truth about what Tesla says or anything.
Seems Tesla is always lying about what their cars pricing will be, and capability. That’s proven.
EV batteries tend to burst in to flame.
Cheap Chicom crap cars especially.
Tesla not so much, but maybe that’s what happened.
Most likely.
It may be true that gasoline powered vehicles are more likely to burn (I doubt many spontaneously combust), but they certainly do not take in excess of 4 hours to extinguish and then have to be in a sort of quarantine for 45 days in case they reignite.
“When is the last time a gasoline-powered car just sitting there blew up?”
Recently! Car explodes in giant fireball!

Because I paid so damn much for my Tesla...I am now forced to shop at Walmart. I wear dark glasses and a big hat and park it at the end of the parking lot. lol

Nope. Diesel cab fire.
Scratch & dent sale?
