Key Democrats say they are done with it. Polling shows Americans are tired of it. But can Democrats successfully move on from “woke” and redefine their identity moving into the 2026 elections?
After the 2024 elections, leader after leader in the Democratic Party joined the chorus, blaming “woke” for the party’s travails.
James Carville, who was a key Clinton strategist, said during an episode of his podcast, that the “woke era” “killed” Democrats in the 2024 elections, adding that, while he thinks the party is “beyond it” at some level, “the image stuck in people’s minds that the Democrats wanted to defund the police, wanted to empty prisons.”
US Sen. Mark Warner, a Virginia Democrat, said “over-the-top wokeism” is a “valid attack” on Democrats and needs to be addressed. Former US Congressman Tim Ryan, a Ohio Democrat who lost his Senate race to JD Vance, said the party needs a complete rebrand from this mindset because the name Democrat caused too many people in his state to immediately discount his candidacy.

Hey, they rebranded from “racist” back in the 20th century. But the free speech offered by the internet makes it much more difficult.
The fact that democrats are lying about moving away from woke is itself low IQ.
Lying is always low IQ. You people in the cabal are stupid.
For example, Dim voters who cheered on to ban natural gas in the Biden years forgot that in the recent history of the Obama years they cheered Obama to force power companies to shut down coal plants and switch to "clean burning" natural gas. Blacks who cheered the Dims' defund the police movement forgot that blacks loudly demanded a few decades ago to have more police presence in black neighborhoods (why ya'll protecting only white neighborhoods?).
Soon the Dims will rebrand themselves as the champions to protect kids from the evil trans movement, and their voters will forget that the Dims were the ones pushing trans. The Dims will project themselves as the party of masculinity and loving all races, including whites. All while rightly expecting their voters to forget that the Dims have been the most anti-male and anti-white people.

The communists are going full speed ahead on woke.
They have their people in place. These people are in key positions.
They really believe shifting woke to stealth mode will work.
Furthermore, by convincing their constituents that they are victims, they've locked themselves into blaming others for all their problems. That's what victimhood is all about. If a person or group cannot accept responsibility for their problems and name, define, and analyze those problems, they can't fix them.

This is just optics. They are still baby murderers, child mutilators and pedophile friendly looters and moochers.
With pretty much only 1 national Dem (Uncle Festerman) who sounds even remotely rational; I think it’s gonna be really hard for them to return to any sort of normalcy.
Dem voters will fall in line pretty quickly if the party leaders want to rebrand. It wasn’t too long ago that they were against illegal aliens (sure they didn’t mean it but they said they did).
They don’t have constant “humiliation rituals” for nothing
We better not let them. We need to hang it around their necks and shove it down their throats until they choke on it.
Not until they denounce it and call it divisive and a terrible idea they tried to split america in half.
In answer to the title question, the answer is NO.
They have first got to get rid of their radical communist leaders. This will be next to impossible.
Second they need to be honest. This is next to impossible.
The only way to save themselves will be for the blue dog bunch to separate and form their own party. The radicals will not let this happen.
The reason rats mouth allegiance to woke principles is to persuade stupid people to vote for them.
The old guard may be done with woke, but the young turks they unleashed are now taking over the party. And they’re anything but done with woke. The old guard can either leave the party or shut up and watch younger Democrats continue to take over the party. The Democrat Party of yesteryear is gone with the wind.
They’d have to abandon their base and lose a decades worth of elections.
