A good deal for all? Strict tariffs? Noting of substance? Full on military aid to Ukraine? Threat of military force by Trump?

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Putin is just jerking Trump off.

Russia will have to guarantee Odessa...joint ownership of the Nuclear Power Plant....Water rights..

Ukraine will never become a NATO member. All Ukraine has to do is start a skirmish.

The Wytkoff meeting in Moscow already decided most of the issues. You’ll notice how carefully details of those proposals and discussions have been kept under wraps.

Reports have already come out that Trump shared that information with Zelensky and Europe, but there have been no loud leaks. There have been several media reports about what was in the conversation, but they all disagree with each other. The leaks probably don’t really exist and it is all speculation.

If Trump and Putin agreed to keep the details quiet so that Europe and Zelensky could not attack and undercut the issues on which the two sides were in agreement, then it would not make sense for the announcement that Trump had already talked with Europe about the details. Or more likely he did make those phone calls and shared almost nothing, but calls it details.

The CEO of Russia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund seems to have become pals with Wytkoff. He is an oil guy. Wytkoff is real estate. Much like the Norwegian Sovereign Wealth Fund it has always been understood that the asset totals include the oil underground but never adds numbers describing that. So these two guys are talking money and they talk it in the context of looking past the chasm. This is what happens after the war is settled and that is what happens after the war is settled.

Obviously this has a fundamental presumption that all sanctions are eliminated.

This would be one of those details that never got discussed with Europe.

I’d sure like some of those Russian King Crab legs that I used to buy at Wegmans.

I like your analysis, Light Brigade. Hope you’re right.

My WW2 Navy veteran Dad (father of eight) explained to me what honor and epic poetry was all about when I was 10 years old.

As the oldest son, I would sit there with him in a darkened dining room in the wee hours of the night as he sipped his Seagram’s Seven drink alone — until I joined him.

He never knew more than 2 lines from his favorite epic poems, but he recited those lines with great feeling:

The Charge of the Light Brigade
Gunga Din
Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Invictus

Thanks, Dad. You were terrific. We’re fighting like hell to get our Country back. But we’re making some progress thanks to a terrific President, a kind of 21st century George Washington.

“Probably at Elmendorf.”

Yes. I mentioned Elmendorf. My ex was MP and his duty station was at the hangar that day.

Grandstanding by either side won’t cut it. Nothing will emerge from this unless it’s purpose is merely to publicly ratify what has already been worked out by detailed negotiations between both sides’ trusted negotiators.

Look...this is how it works.

I still question whether that old drunk, Kruschev, had the right to give away Crimea. The two referendums tell me where the line should be. Remember those people were not allowed to vote when "Z" was running.

Here's the latest: "Z" went out and bought a deck of cards and now thinks he can dictate the terms.

Stalling?? What would be the point?

Peace Prize: Wouldn't be surprised if the World Leaders present Trump with the First of It's Kind "Peace Prize", something unique...A Memorial perhaps....Mount Rushmore...but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

The Treaty he negotiated which was signed yesterday....both leaders of the two countries more or less nominated Trump for the Peace Prize and the audience clapped in agreement.
