Being a client of SNAP has many benefits that often go unnoticed. You can purchase tickets to museums and cultural events at a discount, buy MBTA tickets at a lower fare, and more.
The primary benefit SNAP clients receive is funds on an EBT card that are reloaded monthly to purchase groceries every month. While these funds are flexible for both the types of groceries you purchase and where you purchase them from, there are a few important limitations to be aware of before you head to the checkout

I’m seeing juice on a lot of those lists...you know...that stuff they give the kids in school along with muffins and all kinds of cr**.
The best benefit is that you can buy garbage food for your kids with it, leaving your actual cash for crucial staples, such as scratchers from the entertainment group and smokes from the tobbaco group.
The problem is that SNAP funds are added to your EBT account total available. While SNAP is for food, EBT gives them a loophole to also use SNAP amounts as EBT. And EBT allows purchases other than just food.
This is never going to work unless they completely separate the two again. They need to be completely separate accounts and not combined into one account like they are now.
There should be one card funded at 100% for eligible purchases that are restricted to food, real food, only.
Then another card funded at 65% with no restrictions.
Then another card funded at 50% and can be sold.
Also, accept EBTs at casinos.
Is beer food?
Nobody is really willing to reduce the incentives of the intergenerational welfare programs. To do so would vastly affect blacks, which would be labeled “racist”.
So several generations of lost wastrels are created and permanently subsidized in their sloth, gluttony, and criminality to the detriment of absolutely everyone.
Because “Racist!”
From the article, SNAP allows you to buy “groceries that are appropriate to your cultural background, including chutney, berbere, kimchi, bolos levedos, etc.”
Thank goodness for that! So if I ever have go on SNAP, I can still buy perogies and haluski.
Water - Technically not a food but keeps us alive. Check!
Barely - Had soup with this stuff in it once... Check!
Hops - Not sure what it is, but we can grow it. Check!
Yeast - It’s in bread, so CHECK!!!!
Given what we know is in beer, I do believe beer to be a food. Eat up, mates!
“Is beer food?”
Of course it is, and to quote the guy on the $100 dollar bill
“Beer Is Proof that God Loves Us and Wants Us To Be Happy”
If you disagree you must be one of those moooslims or something
Beer was part of the daily diet of Egyptian pharaohs over 5,000 years ago. Then, it was made from baked barley bread, and was also used in religious practices.[41] During the building of the Great Pyramids in Giza, Egypt, each worker got a daily ration of four to five liters of beer, which served as both nutrition and refreshment that was crucial to the pyramids' construction.[42]
Pharoah Pilsner. Like it
Snacks and culturally appropriate foods still covered.
The point of all that being....???
This is the problem with handouts, grants, all manner of government assistance.
You can put restrictions on what it can buy, but the assistance just frees up existing money so it can be spent on things you don’t support.
Planned Parenthood is the poster child for this. The left claims that because there is a provision that government funds cannot be used for abortion, federal funds are not supporting abortion. It is just an accounting trick. If the Federal funds are only used for administration, then internal money that used to go to administration then goes to abortion. It isn’t the Federal money, but it is money freed up by the Federal money.
Same thing with SNAP benefits. The family has, from their own resources, $400 a month available for food. The government gives them $400 a month, but puts restrictions on it...only healthy food. Now the money that used to go to food goes to unhealthy food (that SNAP doesn’t pay for) and manicures, and tattoos, and smokes...
I have no idea if it’s true, but I’ve heard somewhere that besides drinking beer, they ate halva.
Being a CLIENT of SNAP has many BENEFITS that often go unnoticed. You can purchase tickets to museums and cultural events at a discount, buy MBTA tickets at a lower fare, and more.So these damned leeches are now "CLIENTS"?? WTH?
And these damned "CLIENTS" can get price breaks at all sorts of places that us hardworking, tax-paying citizens do NOT get?
Is this a great country or what? (gnashing teeth and snarling!!)
I'm starting to see that "Burn it all down and start over" makes a lot of sense.
President Trump should burn the entire welfare system to the ground.
I like that it covers seeds for edible food plants.
It’s liquid grain.
It’s liquid grain....or since it has yeast in it, it is liquid bread.
