Water - Technically not a food but keeps us alive. Check!
Barely - Had soup with this stuff in it once... Check!
Hops - Not sure what it is, but we can grow it. Check!
Yeast - It’s in bread, so CHECK!!!!

Given what we know is in beer, I do believe beer to be a food. Eat up, mates!

Without beer the Great Pyramids would not have been built.
