Incredible close. Journalism is ridden by the worst jockey I’ve seen in 30 years.... but, he wins in spite of him.

Journalism was phenomenal in overcoming the jockey’s bad choice(s). The horse that finished second ran his heart out, too.

Umberto Rispoli is from Europe and a much better jock in turf races...where the key is to be patient and wait for the holes to open. You are right, he should have just tipped out, but Journalism showed what a Boss he really is...take a hit like that and still win. Gotta say though, Flavien Prat over did it in coming over on the other horse...he was really elbowing him. Prat is the top rider in the world right now, but he’ll get a couple days for his ride. The elbowing was over the line.

Agree. Prat will get a few days off.

Humberto has no business riding US horses of this quality.

Well there will not be a triple crown winner this year.

That makes 7 years since Justify was the last triple crown winner in 2018.

Journalism was phenomenal in overcoming the jockey’s bad choice(s). The horse that finished second ran his heart out, too.

Journalism looked like he was pissed from the post parade on. When he got squeezed he held his ground but it was almost enough to cost him the race. He had to fly to make up ground.

I think Gosger's jockey let up on him thinking he had it won. He must have been shocked to see Journalism fly by.

Flaven should have known better. I know the American Jockey biz can be pretty cut throat but to not hold your lane and let your horse veer inside in the stretch, not good. We are lucky we didn't have a severe injury to human or horse.
