Judgement at Nuremberg

The Best Years of Our Lives

Blazing Saddles

The Blues Brothers

The Blues Brothers is great because it captures the best of musicals, car chases, famous co-stars, and it’s just downright funny.

Casablanca

And any movie that is NOT 2001: A Space Odyssey.

"The Longest Hundred Miles" from the 1960s. Since it is a made for TV movie it is hard to find but my family had a VHS tape of it and just about wore it out.

"And just what are you going to use for fuel? Coconuts?"

"Well... as a matter of fact...."

George Pal's The Time Machine -- the first movie where I paid for my own ticket, with friends.

2001 A Space Odyssey -- first seen during my one and only trip to Washington DC: the Nixon inaugural, as part of my high school band, before our march up Pennsylvania Avenue.

Lawrence of Arabia
Blade Runner
Apocalypse Now
Alien
Dr. Strangelove
The Godfather
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

And don’t laugh, two guilty pleasures:
Barbarella and The Quatermass Experiment. The latter scared the s**t outta me as a ten year old

Are we being political here on this thread?

I ask because I don’t know if I will get in trouble for saying “On Golden Pond” was a good movie.
