Nike, the global athletic wear giant, finds itself embroiled in a public relations storm following allegations it funded a study examining the effects of "gender-affirming" medical interventions, including hormone therapy, on transgender youth, particularly athletes. This controversy erupted after a detailed article in The New York Times, which focused on Blaire Fleming, a biological male competing in women's volleyball, mentioned Nike's purported financial support for such research. Critics spanning various fields, from women's sports advocates and medical professionals to conservative lawmakers and media personalities, have voiced profound ethical and health concerns, characterizing any study involving medical transition for minors as potentially harmful and exploitative. While Nike has issued a statement asserting the study "was never initialized" and "is not moving forward," the company has declined to offer further explanation, a silence that has only intensified the debate surrounding its alleged involvement and its broader stance on gender identity issues in sports and society

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Yes there are some biological females with large feet, but the vast majority of people with large feet are biological males.
Women who have large feet still have the feet of a woman, which is shaped differently than a normal male foot.
Nike is publicly traded. Management can be held personally responsible for doing something unnecessary yet highly controversial if it destroys stock values.
This was incredibly stupid on the part of Nike’s management.
Can we please stop with the “gender affirming” doublespeak?
What’s Nike trying to do, market large size shoes to “transgender” biological males?
Pink size 14 EEE, with daisies.
They should do a study on the effects of using child slave labor. Scumbag company.
Brings to mind that British movie linky Boots. Which actually was quite funny if you haven’t seen it

I worked there and as far as I’m concerned the company is run by a bunch of arrogant a-holes who have no loyalty to anything but the stock price.
They frequently get away with underpaying since they’re in Portland but they make up for it by saying “it’s a privilege to work at Nike”. /s
So glad to be gone!
In my home after decades of sneaker purchases MY backlash occurred due to ridiculous ill fitting contoured soles, leather that prematurely separates from the sole, Squeaking noises occurring soon after purchase, The companies WOKE agenda, Use of slave labor, etc....
Switched to a similar Reebok Cross-trainer model and it was like moving from hell to heaven.
Sooo comfortable....FINALLY, holds up well, no squeaks and stays new looking for a long time.
Goodbye Nike you lost this 43 year customer FOR GOOD!
This was a stupid move. There was no way to look good regardless of the outcome of the study. If you find it’s HELPFUL, then you’ve offended all your normal customers. If you find it’s HURTFUL, then you’ve offended all the trans people in the world. As NOTHING is EVER allowed to be said that doesn’t 100% support their cause.
Just Change It
Certain countries sowing American seeds of destruction. I’m so tired of it. Eradicate.
Love me some Reeboks
That was also covered in the study. Two major findings:
1) Males that showed poorly when competing among other males vastly improved their relative performances when allowed to compete as females on female teams. In fact, they won numerous championships.
2) The use of child slave labor in manufacturing had a major positive effect on Nike's bottom line.

They are supra-national and amoral. They will support anything which they think makes them money.
