On Wednesday’s “Hugh Hewitt Show,” President Donald Trump discussed nuclear talks with Iran and stated that Iran has to turn over its uranium and either deactivate or destroy their centrifuges or else they will face strikes from the United States.

PDJT understands the Iranian threat! Good!!!
I hate that things have gotten to that stage, but so be it.
Hmmm, ‘Turn Over Uranium, Destroy Centrifuges or Get Blown Up’...I just can’t decide...
I seriously don’t think the Iranians will comply. They might make motions to comply, to give a perception of compliance, but in reality’ they won’t actually stop their production. Which means their facilities get destroyed according to Pres. Trump. When that happens, it will be a great day for Israel, other Mideast countries and the U.S. The Russians, Chinese, North Koreans will do nothing. They will only have respect for our strength. I would think a couple MOABS on top of their underground sites should incapacitate them.
Well, Trump has been doing 180 turns on foreign policy so often it’s given me whiplash. Tomorrow he may say something entirely different. I hope he will this time, actually.
The U-235 needed to build a nuclear bomb can probably be hidden in two coffee cans placed somewhere in the very large country of Iran. It would be like hiding two coffee cans somewhere in the dirt of Texas.
That’s why the Mullahs and IRGC leadership and their clans should be taken out.
Israel couldn’t find most hostages in relatively tiny Gaza despite being on the ground.
We don’t even know how much U-235 Iran has so we can’t be sure we got it all.
If Trump proceeds and DC gets vaporized, the Iranians will claim it couldn’t have been us.
Let me suggest something to address your whiplash.
There's a) Policy, b) Strategy, and c) Tactics.
I think Trump's policy has been constant: "We win, they lose".
His strategy is his approach to that policy, and it's been pretty consistent: "Get them to do what we want them to do".
His tactics are how he implements his strategy. Those tactics can change, even daily -- that's how "tactics" are categorically different from "strategy" or "policy". So if the tactics seem somewhat chaotic, well, that's sometimes necessary. They need to adapt to changing circumstances.
I hope that helps.
Major policies should be discussed in cabinet and signed off by a vast majority of both cabinet members and key officials in the responsible department.
“That’s why the Mullahs and IRGC leadership and their clans should be taken out.”
Even more ruthless people would fill the vacuum.
The Mullahs at least have some accumulated wisdom.
We might wish the Iran was ruled by Russian drunk.
The problem with such tactics when it comes to FP is no one knows which statements to take seriously, which in some cases can be quite dangerous. And eventually, none are taken seriously. Not the best tactic, IMO, if that’s what it really is as opposed to Trump actually changing his mind all the time.
He’s done some great things domestically, and I am very happy with him there.
No fighting wars for other countries.
Trump reminds of Ronald Reagan telling the Ruskies, “The bombing will begin in five minutes”. Keep ‘em guessing Mr. President.
Hopefully he’s just poking fun at the late John McCain with these antics.
“ If Trump proceeds and DC gets vaporized…”
Nuking DC would be doing the rest of America a favor.

Well, that’s pretty straightforward. That’s why we voted for this man.
He wants a war. I am really disappointed in his giving in to an Israeli wish list.
It’s good that he’s giving them a chance to avoid conflict. But one thing the world cannot have is a nuclear armed fundamentalist nutter country. Just look at the havoc they have done to European and Asian trade in the Red Sea via their proxies. That has very little to do with us directly but we are the only ones capable of countering it. Obviously their strategic aims are one of the main reasons behind the devastation in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria. They are also behind deaths and injury of Americans in Iraq. They can’t be allowed nukes.
Some people say Iran has formidable anti-aircraft technology but clearly they do not as Israel has gone in and out several times. I don’t think anyone wants a boots on the ground war with Iran. And surely just flying is combat risk. But a very targeted and limited campaign, targeting their nuclear facilities and perhaps some of their conventional sites, is very possible. The heavy bombers can take out even hardened under mountain facilities from 40,000 feet while F35 and others can take out more conventional sites.
The biggest risk I think is that they will go rogue and fire missiles at seemingly random targets. Our ships, certainly. Our bases in the regions, probably. Israel, definitely. Saudis and others - perhaps. Everyone will be on high alert.
