Robert De Niro’s daughter is speaking her truth.

At 29, Airyn De Niro is coming out as a trans woman and discussing the surprising motivation that led her to follow through with her gender journey, which included beginning hormone therapy last November.

Speaking candidly with Them in her first-ever interview, the movie star’s daughter, whom he shares with ex Toukie Smith, shared that Halle Bailey’s “The Little Mermaid” in 2023 had a huge impact on her.

In the article, De Niro said the turning point came when she made her first appointment at a black hair salon after seeing Bailey in the classic film’s live-action adaptation.

“I think a big part of [my transition] is also the influence Black women have had on me,” she explained. “I think stepping into this new identity, while also being more proud of my Blackness, makes me feel closer to them in some way.”

De Niro — who was born with the name Aaron — shared that being a trans woman means “being honest and open, especially [in] public spaces like social media.” Seeing so many before her succeed only added to her desire to come out.

I do, she was a seemingly very shy little girl, cute. Thought the name was interesting.
All the screaming going on from Cher towards Sonny when he tried to reason with her was a terrible thing for a little girl to deal with. Sonny loved Cher but she was NOT going to listen to his guidance in how to structure her career and balance it. Both of their acting and singing careers went into jeopardy.

When I found out that Chastity had plunged into the severe mental illness of sex dysphoria and was having herself pumped full of testosterone and having the mutilation surgeries, I knew it was the strong political /social arm of the homosexual movement that indoctrinated her into going into it. I’m pretty sure it devastated Sonny but Cher was all for it and supported Chastity (who decided on “Chaz” to be her ‘male’ name).

“Chaz” weight ballooned and looked pretty doggone ill. Like when an individual is pumped full of chemo and radiation to kill off bone marrow before a transplant is done. Found out a lot of people that do what they call transitioning ends up causing cancer and kills them. Chaz’s case I don’t know, it just looked very sick.

Then Sonny died when he was snow skiing off a trail and slammed into a tree. It tore at my heart and I sobbed for days. I watched the funeral on TV and heard how Cher said that “My Sonny was the only sun in my life for me, my dear Sonny”.

Sonny Bono of course had gone on to be Senator Bono, a real peacemaker between government leaders with a very unique ability per his sense of humor. He was very much loved, and I mourned him along with the rest of Americans.

Of course none of us were there and really know what went on that caused Chastity to fall prey to the homosexual agenda plaguing the entertainment industry. It happens to a lot of kids. Very, very sad thing.
