To most Americans, the big problem with the Democratic Party is that it has moved too far left in recent years. If you’re among those who believe that, brace yourself.
The worst is yet to come.
A serious push is underway to move the party even further away from the political center, embrace economic plans close to pure socialism and launch radical woke culture battles.
It sounds like a bad joke, but it’s really happening. And it’s a movement that goes beyond the socialist fever dreams of Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Although some of the push is a reaction to Donald Trump’s election in November and his embrace of America First policies, the fury reflects more than just Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Consider the lead sentence in a recent fundraising email.
“Democratic voters want a more progressive party,” began a pitch from a far-left group called Justice Democrats.
To my surprise, a legitimate national poll supports the claim, and others hint at the same trend.
Survey USA, in a poll taken earlier this month, found that 50% of Dems said they want the party to “become more progressive,” 24% said it should “stay the same” and just 18% said “become more moderate.”
I’ve been trying to wrap my head around the findings, but can only wonder how much further left Dems can go before they fall off the face of the Earth.
Sanders, Ocasio-Cortez and their angry fellow travelers apparently aim to find out.
Their big, boisterous rallies are all about tearing down what Sanders calls “ubercapitalism,” but history and current events show that socialism always adds to human misery.

Western Civilization is not completely destroyed yet. I think the democRATs may team up with the jihadists.
The level of irony and hypocrisy coming from sanders, of all people, filthy rich as he is, is breathtaking.
The more these clowns steer the remnants of the Democrats from the center the more elections they will lose. This is the end of the Democrat party. Even if the refugees formed something new it will take years to gain traction. Of course the radicals will keep digging their hole deeper…all they have is their shovel of global socialism.
I question the poll. On the other hand, the tradition of the Dems is to stay to the far left. Given that the illegal parasites self-deport and the voter rolls get cleaned up, this means that the Dem party will be the minority party for a long time.
Don’t forget our Sandy. She’s a multi-millionaire already after just a few years in politics.

Don’t take this lightly. I was among those that laughed at AOC’s green new deal. The green new deal was so stupid, surely no one would agree to that mess. Wrong, Biden got selected and implemented as much of it as he could.
Much of the public has been indoctrinated, this is a real threat.
Let’s wait until June to see if this is true.

I think they already have. The ‘anti-Israel’ protests on college campuses are evidence. It’s cool in that crowd to support ‘Palestinians’. ‘Palestinians’ are known for their terrorism, which pampered young democrats are drawn to; it’s in their addled thinking a just practice in the greater battle against ‘The Man’. The ‘Man’ in this case is Western Civilization, the United States of America in particular.

Agreed. They’re serious. They’re malicious, destructive, and essentially evil. And again, they’re serious. They want absolute power and control, including the unquestioned power to kill anyone who disagrees with them. Might sound dramatic, but that’s only because it is. We must not underestimate them.

Yes it does, but history and current events also show that socialism and communism will always be popular with those who believe they can get something for nothing.
