Former US President Donald Trump has been praised online for a heartwarming gesture to a young boy.
On Thursday, a video of a boy named Liam was posted to X, which featured the child receiving a birthday letter from Trump.
According to the X account user who posted the video, Liam suffers from a rare brain disorder and growth hormone deficiency.
Upon reading who his birthday letter was sent from, Liam was moved to tears and asked, assumingly his mother, to read it for him.
Social media users praised the former president for his gesture and called out the media for not showing this side of Trump.
“Trump is a good man. He doesn't do this and then publicise it. He does it because he knows it'll warm that kid’s heart and that's all he needs. I personally know someone he sent a hand signed letter to for their retirement. You'd never know it,” wrote one user.

I had seen this before but the screen still gets blurry.
This is obviously one very sweet, precious kid.
God bless and be with him and his family.
What is with the “former” crap ?
It was in September......................
That is so beautiful and so sweet.
This little guy has endured eight long years of suffering from physical problems and not being able to play with his peers. Remember how important it was having at least one good buddy, back when you were in the third grade? I do.
How nice of President Trump to take a moment of his over the top busy day, and send this kid a Birthday Card.
At least today, he doesn’t feel quite so alone and invisible.

Once we collectively stop caring about what the Left thinks, we can politically destroy them without regard
What an adorable boy. Best wishes for health and happiness, Liam!
