The United States will demand that Russia accept Ukraine's right to have its own army and defense industry as part of a peace agreement between Moscow and Kyiv, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter. US special envoy Steve Witkoff is expected to raise the issue with Russian President Vladimir Putin when they next meet, the report added.

All we can do is give Ukraine more weapons. Will Europe step up?
All people have a right to defend themselves.
London and Brussels have given the middle finger to Trump regarding his peace negotiations, and have said many times they will continue to support Ukraine in the war - and even send EU troops.
So demanding Russia simply “make peace,” when the nearly the entire EU and their Ukraine puppets want to continue the war is a rather stupid media narrative.
Putin is trying to get Ukraine down to just a police force and then go back in and conquer the whole country like he tried to do 3 years ago.
Captain Crunch is the US. He works for Trump. Without Trump just who in the hell will support Ukraininan AFU.
Nazi’s gotta go.
Obviously.
Wonderful news! At least one of the two non-NATO nations at war for these last three years is being asked to "accept Ukraine's right to have its own army and defense industry" when in demonstrable fact both nations have shown they have armies and defense industries.
This is a certainty because of "people familiar with the matter."
In a month or so, those ,looming default on debt issues will be showing up, so this stuff according to 'people familiar with the matter" are keeping a world of media messaging busy.
And it gives you something to do.
Yes. But no right to make me buy their ammo.
Europe is already stepping up: more weapons from France, Germany, Sweden and Norway. Several billion dollars worth. And a billion dollars buys a lot more in Swedish weaponry than American.
Your post makes no sense to me. Who is making you buy their ammo? Is it at a good price? I might be interested.
Let's see... who can remember who was blamed for the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster? Was it Ukraine, or was it Russia? And were the troops who were sent in to take care of the problem mostly from Russia and the USSR or from Ukraine?
And for our final Jeopardy Question...
After centuries of being part of the same country... How many years has it been since Ukraine finally had a government illegally installed that was not in the Russian sphere of influence?
Alex has it been just over 10 years?
Just walk away.
That's why they aren't slaves like Russians.
That is why intelligent people want the USA to get out of NATO and away from the EU.
The EU is nothing but a bunch of godless leeches run by perverts.
This kind of overlooks who invaded whom, right? I mean, if Russia said "okay, we'll all just go back to the way things were before the invasion and have peace", the war would end tomorrow. The only reason the war continues is that Russia is demanding territory that Russia itself previously recognized as belonging to Ukraine.
Just walk away.

We should but apparently won’t.
Too many bond holders in Europe and North America are holding crappy investments in the ‘westernizing’ Ukraine Project.
They’ll eventually try to make up their losses in the rebuilding/reconstruction of Ukraine.
Ukraine should agree to recognize Luhansk, Donetsk and Crimea as Russian in exchange for getting back the currently occupied areas of Kherson and Zaporizhia. It should also get an agreement with several states for a military alliance: probably the Scandinavians, Baltics, Poland, Romania and Turkey. Plus EU membership. Putin gets those territories, no NATO, and gradual lifting of sanctions as both parties comply with various steps. Transnistria should go back to Moldova to prevent further Russian provocations.
So not much different from our government, eh?
When President Trump’s pachence is exhausted, we will.
