Capturing the heart of America, an Ohio veteran turning 104 years old in May of 2025 requested President Donald Trump to attend his birthday in a viral video acquiring hundreds of thousands of viewers. The message acted as a captivating reminder of the enduring patriotism of United States veterans, showcasing the love for our nation still deeply rooted in those who have served.

The man making that heartfelt and heartwarming plea to the president while wearing a red MAGA hat was Denver Moore, a proud World War II veteran celebrating his 104th birthday on May 15, made a heartfelt plea on social media inviting President Trump to join his special day. As could be expected, the video exploded within ten days, garnering over 700,000 views on TikTok, proving that his simple yet powerful wish resonates deeply with everyday Americans.

Many of the reactions that poured in online in the wake of the video were messages of support from around the country, and staff at Danbury Senior Living facility in Massillon, Ohio, where Moore currently resides, received calls and messages from around the country, all eager to send cards, letters, and well-wishes to honor an extraordinary veteran.

As background, Moore’s incredible life is a real American journey. It began on a farm in Noble County, Ohio, and soon he found himself drafted into the military in 1942, pulling him out of the Hercules Engine Co., where he had been working. Following his heroic service during World War II, Moore embodied the American dream, spending decades as a dedicated employee of the U.S. Postal Service while raising a family.

Inviting the president to his sure-to-be fun party in the much-watched clip, the WWII veteran made sure to win the president over by noting he’s voted for him and wants to keep doing so! He said, “My name is Denver Moore, and I’m going to be 104 in May, and I’m inviting you to my birthday party on the 17th. Canal Fulton and I’m living in a rest home called Danbury, and I got to vote for you again, and I hope I can vote you for you some more.”

Supporting Mr. Moore in the clip was Allison Dudley, a close friend of Moore’s family. She not only recorded and posted the video but addressed the president as well, adding even more reason for the President to come to Ohio and celebrate, saying, “He’s a World War Two veteran, Army, Air Corps. You should come and visit him. He wants you here for his birthday.”

The viral video request to meet President Trump has thousands of people nationwide preparing to celebrate with the heroic veteran. America eagerly awaits to see if President Trump will fulfill Moore’s dream. His son, Rich Moore, reflected on his father’s viral birthday wish, telling News 5 Cleveland, “If this makes him happy, then great. Whatever it takes.”

Anticipation for his birthday is growing rapidly, and a grand celebration, complete with firetrucks, police cars, and a massive parade, is planned at the Veterans Affairs club in Canal Fulton. The overwhelming response has stunned Moore, who remarked, “It’s a wonderful country. I’m glad God gave us the United States. In my long life, I never dreamed of that happening.”

That would be awesome!

That said, he was a postal employee. Did he know Newman?

Maybe Trump can add a military jet flyover to the parade.

Nice request, but the President can't be visiting individual people in person. Perhaps he can post a brief video message on Truth or X wishing the fellow a happy birthday and praising him for his patriotism and thanking him for his support. Or even better, set up a Zoom call or the like.

I wouldn't expect Trump to actually put his entire entourage including security through an in-person visit. But some sincere contact would be a very good and appropriate gesture.

Lots of manufacturing in Massillon. He could make a good visit with some of the factories AND stop by the birthday party.

He’s the president he can do what he wants and he should go. I have seen other presidents meeting with individuals in hospitals and such this is no different. It would be great publicity and what not.

How could President Trump not honor the request? Moore was born on the 17th!

Who made you the President’s social secretary?

> Who made you the President’s social secretary?

LOL, I'm not. Just thinking out loud about the practical logistics and time involved. Trump's a very busy man at the moment, that's all. I don't doubt for a moment that he would make the visit if he could pull it off in the midst of everything else.

Link Trainer and U.S. Army Air Corps

The Link Trainer was used extensively by the U.S. Army Air Corps as a key pilot training aid during World War II. Instructors would sit at an external desk equipped with a large map table, a duplicate display of the pilot’s main flight instruments, and controls to alter wind direction and speed. They communicated with the trainee via headphones and microphones, guiding them through various training exercises.

The first major military order for Link Trainers came in 1934 after a series of bad-weather aircraft accidents. The U.S. Army Air Corps purchased six Link Trainers following a demonstration by Ed Link, who flew into Newark Field in poor visibility conditions.
