An incredible video of an alligator on a stroll is making the rounds online.
You never know what you're going to get with the animal thunderdome. It can be a house of horrors or it can be pretty cool.
Massive buck? That's awesome. A massive alligator that could tear you limb-to-limb? Not so much, and that's what brings us here today.
Giant alligator spotted on South Carolina golf course. The X account @Top100Rick shared some awesome footage of a giant alligator walking around Kiawah Ocean Course on Kiawah Island, South Carolina, and the video is a must-watch.
The alligator didn't have a single fear in the world, which is par for the course (no pun intended).
Check out the video below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
Insane crocodile at the Kiawah Ocean Course! Props to the cameraman for getting close.
For a $600 green fee, you not only get to shoot a 103, but you get to meet this specimen!
My buddy sent me this. They literally walked right by him and then he crossed over the tee box… pic.twitter.com/YDaCAcQ63k— Rick Golfs (@Top100Rick) April 2, 2025
I know some people see videos like this, and think it's all sunshine and roses. I definitely do not. I have zero interest in sharing golf courses with animals that are descendants of ancient creatures.
Hard pass.
An alligator gets too close to me, and the pistol is coming out of his holster. I don't care if PETA throws a fit or not.
If it's between me or a massive alligator, I can promise you I'm not taking any chances.
What do you think of the wild video? Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
That Gator is the stuff of nightmares.
It’s the shark and bear thing all over again......it’s their environment.....WE are the interlopers and should act accordingly.
The photo closeup at the end of the post is narrow nosed and might actually be a crocodile. However, there are only wide snouted alligators in SC. It would seem the closeup is not in fact the creature on the golf course.
For the record and estimation of the length of the golf course creature in question......
The distance from the nose to the eyes in inches is the same number as the length of the alligator in feet.
The guy in the white shirt said “I don’t have to outrun the allogator - I just have to outrun you.”
the irony of seeing someone named "GeorgiaDawg32" post this....:^)
Oh by the way, GO GATORS!!!
We have come a long way from the 1960s when alligators were thought to be almost extinct due to poaching. A ban on hunting them was put in place. Within a few years the US was so up to it’s butt in alligators that hunting was again allowed for them. Rule was, the front legs still had to be attached to the skin to prevent poachers from selling old skins they had in cold storage.
Tastes like chicken.
Last time I was in Kiawah the alligators were everywhere, right along the bike paths. Not the place for small children.
It seems nice. After all, it’s smiling in that picture.
😱
From what I understand, the ladies body was partially submerged and the gator was protecting it. We were told it was euthanized the same day. The family of the lady has filed suit against the community, claiming it had been aggressive and there had been previous complaints.
Go GATORS!
Zhustang Wilson just rose from the grave, muttering, “alligator sauce piquant, alligator sauce piquant, ... Aieee, I done tol’ you for true!”
Word to the wise...It’s mating season in Florida soon, so don’t be too complacent with your friendly reptile, they don’t play well with others during mating season.
Did someone say Mating Season? /Florida Man
Did you mean “Godzilla” on 4 legs?
I’ve had nightmares of those things.
They are not something to mess with for sure…
They are in complete “DGAF mode” at all times… and will do some serious damage.
That is a BIG gator.
It was par for the course.....................
We have big gators here at Huntington State Park outside of Myrtle Beach. Big ones.
Well fed monsters.....................
