I’m of the belief that the ark was probably dismantled for wood.

Hasn’t it been found about a dozen times in the last hundred years.
To: Red Badger
How many times are they going to “discover” the same pile of dirt as Noah’s Ark?
My memory still works.

That looks like the same supposed boat that Ron Wyatt discovered.
I think I remember something about the boat being divided into two, so I don’t know if that’s it.

Fascinating to contemplate how the belief system of the researchers might influence their involvement in this kind of project.

This has been known for years. I saw a photo of it in LIFE magazine back in 1956. The actual formation was found by an air survey in 1948.
“it takes millions of years for wood to fossilise into stone, so the Ark cannot have petrified in just 5,000 years.”
Say what? We often read of archaeological finds less than 2000 years old that were found fossilized.

A few days of drilling would go a long way toward settling this.
To: Red Badger
Don't need archeological proof to substantiate the Bible.
One either believes, or doesn't.
Even if God Himself became a man, suffered and died for our sins and rose from the dead on the 3rd day, some would still not believe.

Suppoe they actually find an ancient wooden structure somwhere. a wooden one that kind of looks like a boat-shape. How do they ascertain that it was Noah’s, or that he and his sons mae it? A trademrk somewhere on it? Bat guano? Animal excrement? Hemp for hay to keep the critters quieted whi’ they were cruising?

If it’s really “boat shaped” it does not fit the Biblical description of Noah’s ark.
