A man discovered he had been living with just half a brain after being hit by a common symptom that plagues millions.

The unnamed 44-year-old from the south of France started feeling a mild pain and weakness in his leg for around two weeks, which prompted him to visit his doctor.

More than a third of Americans suffer from some form of leg pain, which is usually down to muscle strain, arthritis or harder-to-identify causes, like vascular issues.

After doctors ruled out those common physical causes, they were concerned it could be due to a neurological condition that affects nerve endings.

My younger brother was born with brain damage in 1955, likely due to the Rh factor. His IQ is 79 and he could never hold down a job as a bureaucrat or office worker. An IQ of 75 isn’t sufficient enough to perform the expected duties of the subject in the article.

Maybe some will recall that the Torah literally begins *with Rush*, because his name is spelled ראש, the same as r'osh -- HEAD, beginning, chief, top, sum, etc.

The HEAD of the Torah is the word Bereshith [בראשית], "In the beginning", which begins by saying, "with/in Rush" [בראש]. That's quite the honor.

As the pun-static journey continues, the last 2 letters [ית] also function as a (f.) diminutive, wind/spirit [רוח] being a f. noun so it reinforces the narrative -- that in the beginning, the Torah began...

with the little rush... of a mighty [head]wind.

The Torah [תוֹרָה , 611] truly is an art [אָמָנוּת] and a science [מַדָע], the words adding to 611.

It's a beautiful view that doesn't much interest people, sigh.

The little quote came from the 5th reading (Thursday) of Parshat Balak, the 40th in the weekly Torah readings. Or in years when the 39th and 40th are combined (Chukat-Balak), such as in 1844, the 6th/Friday reading.

It’s a simple but important detail, but I can’t explain it right now. (🎉)

I will say, however, that Parshat Balak is the place of the famous Messianic “star prophecy” (Num 24:17).
