A Tennessee woman has been banned from every Walmart in the country after an epic shoplifting spree.
Ashley Cross, 37, cannot enter any of the grocery giant's 4,600 stores after being caught running a bar code scam.
Cross, a known shoplifter, was caught using barcode for a watch battery to scan multiple items for $1 at self-checkouts.
Memphis Police caught Cross in the process of stealing a pair of jeans, a t-shirt some boots and 11 packs of ramen noodles from a Walmart on Elvis Presley Boulevard earlier this week.
The total haul was valued at $137.34, according to the police report.
She wasn’t working alone — another woman with her was charged with stealing $57.86 worth of goods, which included two bras.
Due to her history of theft, Cross has now found herself on list that bans her from entering another Walmart again.
'We value our customers and associates and want them to have a pleasant shopping experience,' Walmart said in a statement.
'Though rare, there are instances when someone is no longer welcome in our stores.'
Cross has been charged for criminal trespass and theft of merchandise less than $1,000.
She is currently being held in jail on a $7,500 bond, according to News 3.
Cross is due to appear in court on February 19.
Shoplifting is an ongoing concern for Walmart, and the chain has made great effort to try and curtail it.
Self-checkouts have been a particular issue, leading staff to manually check customers' receipts against the items in their bags.

But she almost got away with 11 packs of ramen noodles. Totally worth the risk if you asked me. /S
I know is weird, but I found out that people are taking the bar codes off a single low priced screwdriver valued at $1.24 and doing the same thing here in central Indiana.
Target, in Canada, went out of business because it couldn’t control people stealing at the auto-checkout. They were doing things like label switching, a barbie doll for a $1000 rug.
Yep.. they seldom if ever work right, get things wrong, you have to remove and re-scan, bagging area doesn’t register weight, flashing blinking green light for help.
Worse than a DMV experience.
I’d have her checked for an Adam’s apple while they’re at it.
WalMart is limiting self checkout in Memphrica.
Also at Target you can buy only 10 items.
If you go to the suburbs like Bartlett you don’t have this problem.
The Walmart I go to has those video scanners too.
Location location location....if she had done this in Cali she’d be home free. $137 isn’t even close to the $950 limit there.
I got news for you. If you’re trespassed from your local Wal-mart, you’re trespassed from all of them. Plus Sam’s. Company policy.
That’s a man baby!
The items at my local Walmart that get the most interest at the door are laundry detergent and bottled water.
Perhaps a judge can ban her from all retail stores, and the list can be shared with all other big boxes, similar to a casino ban list for cheaters.
I too like self checkout - no need to involve another human for a simple transaction. My local grocery store reverted to all human checkers though due to ‘shrinkage’ and it certainly isn’t a high crime area.
Most grocery stores have weighing self-checkout kiosks ... but not Wal-mart.
🤣😄😃😂
if walmart was serious about stopping shoplifting they would close all self checkouts and return to cashiers at the checkout registers...
AOC scammed the government self check out for 30 million.
CORRECT! Came here to make this comment, see that you already have, leaving satisfied.
Pure evil.
Correct.
