The $950 limit has been thrown out with the vote last November here. Along with that ahole George Gascon. Ca is now prosecuting shop lifting and other petty theft as normal. This was a very bad idea from some very stupid people in state govt. It’s all gone now thanks to a proposition on our Nov ballots.
