Well I do also inside my house but an old incandescent bulb in the well house helps keep it from freezing up in the winter or maybe in the garage where I put the dogs at night when it is freezing. There are uses.

I prefer LED as well, but there is a market for incandescent.
Govt shouldn’t be dictating either.
I have a couple old, wonderful touch lamps that use incandescent bulbs.
I like them too. Now that they’ve pretty much got a much better range of color temperature (tint/tinge, etc.) they’re much more economical and long lasting. They’re also safer. I use LEDs all over my house - even every lightbulb I can get at on my car .
To me, the point is that the Founders never intended that DC should specify the light bulb I want to use or how much water my showerhead uses.
Anyway, if he isn’t successful at stopping the green crap, a lightbulb may be our only source of heat!
LED is OK if you are willing to find and pay for the (almost) full spectrum ones with a CRI of at least 95. That’s all I will use.
If you’re buying the lowest cost LED you are getting a CRI of about 80.
But incandescents are CRI of 100 like natural light.

For some reason, several of the light fixtures in our 60’s era suburban ranch house do not do well with LEDs. The lamp over the kitchen table wrecks them at the rate of about one a month. Electricians shrug their shoulders at the problem.
I still like incandescent bulbs better. They lasted a lot longer, and I liked the color they put out.
I like the IR from the Incandescent. Healthy for you.
For me it’s more about the freedom of choice than it is about light bulbs.

I find they burn out twice as fast as incandescent bulbs and cost twice as much.
