Before they were banned I bought a bunch of light bulbs (all different watts) so I am set. Buying them years ago means I paid less then any new ones that come on the market. Small victory.
The plastic straw thing really has the left pulling their hair out. All he did was undo a ban, there’s no forcing people to use plastic straws. The left just wants to kill people that don’t follow their every command.
No one has mentioned that you will soon see houses, if not already, wired only to support LED lighting. At 10% of the required current, LED will save a lot of copper.
But then you’ll be stuck with it, and America has given up on producing it.

By all means leave it to the consumer. I hated the compact fluorescent (CFL) bulbs that I was forced to buy for a while. I like LED bulbs. In order, I prefer LED to incandescent which I prefer to CFL. I reject the political opinion that CO2 is a pollutant.

Those are two different types of bulbs, you have to choose the warm white, or cool white, or the grade that you want.
I use warm white in the living room, it is like incandescent lighting (yellowish) but I use cool white/daylight in work areas and in the kitchen.
What’s the solution if LED bulbs flicker in a ceiling lamp that was previously used for incandescent bulbs?
Me too. No desire to go back.
I want my old washing machine where I controlled the on and off, amount of water, the cycles, ability to open the lid to poke the clothes around, etc.

I’m in an apartment project. I now take my clothes to the laundromat where they have old machines that actually wash and rinse completely.
Thank God. I’m so sick and tired of LEDs. Most of my light fixtures don’t work well with them. (I’m in an older home)
But I like freedom even more.
Was it controlled by a dimmer switch?
There are websites about flickering LEDs. Maybe a reason given fits yours.
For some reason, several of the light fixtures in our 60’s era suburban ranch house do not do well with LEDs. The lamp over the kitchen table wrecks them at the rate of about one a month. Electricians shrug their shoulders at the problem.
I still like incandescent bulbs better. They lasted a lot longer, and I liked the color they put out.
Steel straws.

My family wants to know why I don’t want an updated washer and dryer, and this is exactly why. The new ones are total cr@p and don’t work.
