The real issue is a government having the power to not let you use your preference of lightbulbs in your OWN home.
This is what the people of America created when they voted for a cigarette ban in PRIVATELY owned restaurants and bars. It started out as a ban on federal government facilities, hospitals, etc., which was ok. Then it morphed to state and city government, still ok. Then they just couldn’t help themselves and took on privately owned businesses and the American people fell for it. It was never about cigarettes, it was a power grab that cleared the way for anything they decided in the future wasn’t good for us, like plastic straws, limited size of soft drinks, lightbulbs, gas stoves, etc. etc. etc.
Does anyone even question why fentanyl can be used on the sidewalk outside a business? Try that with a cigarette……..

Heads up, the flicker is probably lights that used to be fluorescents that someone swapped out the bulbs for LED bulbs.
But never removed the ballast.
There’s no good reason to swap fluorescents for LED unless you remove the ballast and then select the correct LED tube.
The ballast eats power.
You will find life improves if you do this with your LEDs
They frame it like this, but what it really is, is letting the market decide. How terrible to a lefty.

I have self dimming led porch lights made by a company associated with Edison.
That is nice, but the first one that I bought is white, and the others that I bought later are yellow.
I hope trump can listen to my story and come up with a federal regulation to fix this problem! /s

I would never trust something important to the heat of an incandescent bulb because they wear out, the element breaks, they burn out.
I would either use the many more dependable ways or use enough led lights for the heat, what about reptile heating bubs, they seem pretty durable to me, how about low wattage poultry heating panels?
You can keep your LEDs. But the rest of us can go back to the old technology.
