NATIONAL HARBOR, MD — Announcing that it has now given up entirely, the Democratic National Committee selected David Hogg as its new Vice Chair.

The selection represents a powerful statement to the country that the DNC has no hope whatsoever, is an abject embarrassment, and has given in to despair.

"By choosing David Hogg, we are letting the nation know that the DNC is utterly doomed," said Executive Committee member Miranda Langley. "We are forfeiting all pretense of being a successful organization, and welcome our final, total destruction. With David Hogg as our leader, the country can rest assured that the DNC has simply given up."

According to internal sources, the Democratic National Committee felt that naming Hogg as Vice Chair was the simplest way to announce that it had stopped trying. "How better to let rank-and-file Democrats know that we have abandoned the cause," said former DNC member Steve Cranton. "Obviously, we no longer care and look forward to the sweet release of death. Thank you, David!"

At publishing time, the DNC had announced that it would attempt to destroy itself entirely by declaring that its leading candidate for 2028 is Kamala Harris.

Have y'all noticed that the narrative about where Hogg was at the time of the shooting has changed, and all the historical documentation has been updated to support the claim that he WAS at the school during the shooting?

His original statement about being at home and riding this bicycle three miles to school while the shooting was happening has now been declared "inoperative" and suppressed.

In a CBS News documentary, the 17-year-old said: “On the day of the shooting, I got my camera and got on my bike and rode as fast as I could three miles from my house to the school to get as much video and to get as many interviews as I could because I knew that this could not be another mass shooting.”

...and the inconvenient CBS interview goes down the memory hole.

David Hogg did not deserve to go to Harvard. He probably graduated because of the College’s offering of easy courses, which the deans are now trying to combat.

Who knows? I don't personally know the truth. I would like to think that he WAS at the school, because that makes him less of a liar, and it pains me to think of people in positions of power as liars. We have more than enough already.

In a little while it won't matter -- the official narrative will rule, any statements to the contrary will have been purged, all discussion will cease.
