WASHINGTON, D.C. — South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is expected to be approved as Trump's Secretary of Homeland Security following a confirmation hearing in which the Senate committee presented only softball questions to the shotgun-wielding governor.
The Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee was previously expected to go "scorched earth" on Noem but instead asked questions about her favorite movies, food, and what kind of gun she was carrying.
One particular exchange between New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Noem stood out:
Gillibrand: Governor Noem, you previously said —
[shotgun racking sound]
Gillibrand: — uh — you are a woman.
Noem: Yes.
Gillibrand: How's that working out for you? Is it good?
Noem: Yes, it's very good, senator. Thank you.
Gillibrand: I yield back my time.
Political analysts were uncertain as to why the confirmation hearing was so friendly but believed it may have something to do with Democrats turning over a new leaf, moving beyond dirty tactics of "lawfare," fabricating accusations of sexual harassment, and unfairly discriminating against an appointee because of their religious beliefs. Or it might have been the shotgun she was carrying.
"How did she get that in here?" Senator Tim Kaine reportedly asked the Sergeant-at-Arms. "Uh, I mean, it sure is nice. What kind of shotgun is that? A Remington?"
At publishing time, the Senate committee voted unanimously to recommend Kristi Noem for the position of Secretary of Homeland Security. Her fate now rests in a full vote on the Senate floor, where sources said Noem was expected to attend with her favorite AR-15.
Darn you Twotone, you got to The Bee before I did.
She look fabulous.

Democrats are steering clear because they understand that if she’d shoot her own dog, vermin are definitely not safe.
LOL!!!
Not flame thrower.
😂😂😂👍
Putting it on the line: ‘Senators, don’t make me put one or more of you down”.
None of them want the Cricket experience. 😃
LOL! Excellent, PTBAA!
