Ex-Biden official’s telling response to alleged rift between outgoing prez, Kamala Harris: ‘Who cares? She’s done’

Vice President Kamala Harris has told her closest confidants that she’s disappointed President Biden claimed in a recent interview that he could have won the 2024 election had he been allowed to face Donald Trump.

Biden’s comment to USA Today has strained the relationship between Biden and Harris in the final days of their administration, according to a Wall Street Journal report published late Wednesday.

According to the outlet, Harris allies believe the comment by Biden demonstrated the “one-sided loyalty” that has marked the pair’s alliance, with the veep reluctant to criticize or distance herself from her boss.

“Who cares?” one former Biden official told The Post in response to the reported rift. “She is done."

In the USA Today interview published Jan. 8, Biden told the paper’s Washington bureau chief Susan Page: “It’s presumptuous to say that, but I think yes, based on the polling,” that he would have won a second term.

The 82-year-old then doubled down days later, saying he “could have beaten Trump, would have beaten Trump” — before adding that Harris also “could have beaten Trump, would have beaten Trump,” possibly forgetting that she had lost to the Republican in an Electoral College landside Nov. 5.

Eagle-eyed observers have detected a noticeable chill in relations between Harris and the Bidens, especially first lady Jill Biden.

At last month’s Kennedy Center Honors, the Bidens neither greeted nor acknowledged Harris as they took their seats to a standing ovation.

I thought Biden stepped down of his own volition.

“possibly forgetting that she had lost to the Republican in an Electoral College landside Nov. 5.”

_________

Not to mention she lost the popular vote too.

Absolute loser, “no joke.”

Who really cares about the machinations of two duplicitous criminals??? That they are “history” is their only contribution to improving civilization.

Most folks just haven’t figured it out yet that people just don’t like her. She has been a political tool all of her life and has exceeded her shelf life.

I think Biden would have done worse than Harris.

Remember, he was tossed aside after a disastrous “debate” performance in front of a national TV audience. Despite all the spin and propaganda his cabal was peddling in the media after that, it wasn’t just a “bad day” for a guy who was “tired.” He wasn’t going to get any better after that. Debate #2 and Debate #3 would have been even worse, and they would have been much closer to Election Day, too.

Trump’s response to the assassination attempt in Pennsylvania perfectly captured the clear contrast between him and that decrepit old loser.

"President Biden claimed in a recent interview that he could have won the 2024 election had he been allowed to face Donald Trump."

Biden was certainly "allowed" to face Trump, but he chose not to. One could argue that his brain was so addled that he wasn't competent to make such a decision, but that's even more reason for him to bow out. One could also argue that this was likely the last competent decision he will ever make.

The fact that he hasn’t handed over the Presidency to her in a symbolic gesture with a little over 48 hours to go says it all for me. Now he may shock and do it now at the end but my guess is no he’ll hold on until noon monday.

I would love it if Joe handed the presidency to Kamala on Sunday night and if she showed up at the inauguration visibly and blatantly drunk.

that he would have won a second term.

No. The result would've been much the same.

And the 2024 election was the 2020 election without the cheating. The 2020 numbers are WAAAAAAAAAAAY out of line with other elections, including the 2024 election.

Odd thought, suppose Biden dies Monday morning before issuing the pardons, it takes time in the confusion to give Harris the oath and she doesn’t issue the pardons and Trump is sworn in giving US 3 Presidents in one day.

Sorry, Joe, but the internal polls showed an impending disaster, which is why Schumer and Pelosi pulled the plug. That campaign wasn’t going anywhere but down after the disastrous debate showed the real contrast between the two men. The real shame of the Democrat party was that Kammie really was the better candidate.

Harris was gifted the Vice Presidency because she is a black woman. She was gifted the job of Attorney General of California because she was sleeping with the most powerful Democrat in the state. She was gifted with a US Senate seat by the powerful Democrats who wanted a black woman in that position. Her climb to the 2nd most powerful job in American politics came about solely because of the generosity of others. You’d think she’d be more gracious.
