Russia has adapted their drones and are now using fiber optic drones with a 40km/45 minute fly range and are decimating the Ukranian forces north and west of the city. Russia entered the city a few days ago. Ukraine is not able to get vehicles into the city from outside now, thus the rotation and evac of wounded as well as resupply is critical.
Ukraine is not able to maintian the Vaunted Western BS Stalemate since January 2024 - the FABs broke the defensive positions.
Since July 2014 Russia has built their own drones and the introduction of fiber optic was the game changer for both sides with Ukraine losing their once strategic/tactical advantage.
In January 2025 Russia has brought in a new artillery system that has a 70km range firing 172mm shells - these are outside the range of Ukrainian artillery and counter battery fire in the Kursk region - only western missile systems like the HIMARs systems which are in short supply.
The truth is that Russia has reduced the Ukrainian military from 1.2m at the onset of this conflict to under 450k soldiers which at the same time going from 390K in the theater and 160k fighting Ukraine’s large forces to over 1.4/5m today. By July 2026 Russian MOD has maintained since 2023 the achievable objective of four Army Corps Groups of 500k and a total force of 2.1-3m.
This is a tale of one army backed by NATO starting with over a 1m soldiers against an opponent with less than 600k worldwide turning the tables on the collective west.
