ROME — The newly appointed Catholic archbishop of Washington, DC, said Monday that President Trump’s plans for deporting illegal immigrants is “incompatible with Catholic doctrine.”
“At the same time,” he continued, “we are called always to have a sense of the dignity of every human person. And thus, plans which have been talked about at some levels of having a wider indiscriminate massive deportation across the country would be something that would be incompatible with Catholic doctrine.”

The cardinal did not elaborate on which elements of Catholic doctrine he believes prohibit the deportation of migrants who enter a country illegally.

Q would have a more logical approach.
“Render unto Caesar…”
Preach it!
Tax the Church!
Another full-of-crap leftist
The Catholic Church does not speak about immigration law, and it certainly does not condone law-breaking.
The Catholic Church has been infested by Satan and it goes to the top. Many Protestant churches have the same problem.
A lot of the illegals are Catholic...

The answer is doctrine says NOTHING about the issue. So on whose authority is he speaking? Just a personal interpretation.
Having given that snarky response,
The real question is what does God say on the matter? If we really understood that we had to answer to God for what we did regarding immigration, what would one decide?
Go forth with fear and trembling and be thankful you are not in that position. And pray that God guides our leaders for an imperfect decision in an imperfect world.
nor Pelosi or others high up in the democratic party.
Don't care. The US Constitution trumps (no pun intended) Catholic doctrine, especially when it comes to illegals.
The Catholic Church’s foremost theologian and Doctor of the Church, St. Thomas Aquinas, would seem to disagree.

‘Incompatible with Catholic Doctrine’
Think how much $$ Catholic Charities have raked in over the years actively helping illegals get across the border and then setting them up.
They should be psyched! Every one that the US deports just becomes another that they can cash in again getting across the border again.
Liars !!!
They murdered and drove off my Huguenot ancestors in France and Holland in the name of their “Catholic Doctrine”
The Vatican has a wall.
Was it not Jesus himself Who said “he who comes in through the window and not by the door is a thief?” Seems like Catholic doctrine is not compatible with the teachings of Christ.
I second that.
