The Media's Last Defense of Biden Blows Up in Their Faces
Townhall ^ | 28 Dec, 2024 | Matt Vespa

Posted on 12/29/2024 5:44:50 AM PST by MtnClimber

It’s another game of catch-up for the media and yet another painful reminder for them why scores of Americans are flocking to other sources for news because they cannot be trusted. It’s why some media heads are ranting about the 2024 election, Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter, and the proliferation of streamers and podcasts. They’re losing control, and they know it. Even Kamala Harris’ operatives admitted that legacy media isn’t what it used to be regarding voter reach and influence.

Also, the pervasive lying the media does to cover for Democrats, specifically Joe Biden, has been one of the overt operations in recent memory. They used to hide their bias better, layering it, making it less noticeable, or at the very least debatable regarding their true intentions. There was slightly more nuance, but that’s over.

Most CNN and MSNBC segments read like they’re coming out of the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee, and law professor Jonathan Turley, who is not a conservative, even noted the legacy media took another broadside hit with the National Archives releasing old photos of Joe Biden and Hunter with their supposed business associates in China. These are the people Joe had never met or even heard of, and we all knew that this was a lie.

Like Sonny Corleone shot up in The Godfather, the media’s death was a prolonged and bloody event, a death by a thousand cuts. Yet, the Russian collusion, the burying of Biden’s dealings, the Hunter Biden laptop, and the smokescreen concerning the president’s mental health might be the four big stories that shredded the media’s credibility. The photos obliterated one of the final fake narratives about Biden, so please, establishment press, learn from this because no one cares about your standing anymore (via Jonathan Turley):

Jonathan Turley @JonathanTurley The media is still struggling to ignore the corruption of the Biden scandal by insisting that there is no evidence Joe Biden directly received money: ABBY PHILLIP: “I’m still waiting to see the proof of Joe Biden enriching himself. I take his brother and his son, perhaps.”......It is not only factually wrong but legally irrelevant. As I stated in my testimony in the Biden impeachment hearing, enriching your family is treated the same under corruption statutes...

President Trump will get more mileage mocking the lying media this term. They sure deserve it.

I still wonder how Biden is going to pardon himself.

The R’s should still hold hearings on all of this & refer him for prosecution. I know Biden will never go to jail, but his ill-gotten gains should be seized & applied to the debt, at the very least.

I have been saying this for many years, IMHO, it started after the Republican revolution in the 1994 election which Newt Gingrich engineered.

The old dominant Media knew they had become less effective. They started trading credibility for short term political gains, such as getting Clinton re-elected and stopping the Republican agenda put forward by Gingrich.

Eventually, even though it took 30 years, they ran out of credibility. A significant majority of the public no longer believes them. The outright lying got to the point they could not hide it. Alternative media became big enough people could find it in spite of the censorship.

Matt Vespa does a lot of writing-too much. Titles are too much click-bait.

I plead guilty for following him too closely.

We do need, however, the anonymity afforded by broadcast media and even distributed print media. They will be happy to destroy these in order to replace them with something traceable and censorable. This is why, I believe, Congress has allowed a globalist Internet to survive and thrive all these years.

What Americans do NOT need is a monopoly run out of New York City. It interferes with a freedom of the press. The New York Times building is a modern Tower of Babel. It should be limited to corrupt only the city of Gomorrah.

“ the pervasive lying the media does to cover for Democrats”

They’ve done that for a long time but it was cranked up to absurd and blatant levels of dishonesty after Trump won and moved in to outright censorship of any appeal to the truth or differing opinion.

It still is there and is moving to other less irrelevant media.

There's only one person who could make Biden "withdraw"...and that's Jill.

And I'll bet there's a non disclsure agreement between Jill and Kamala. This was effectively...a coup.

The media used to cover for Lenin and Stalin too.

Yes. And Mao, too.

But not all. And not lockstep like now.

Nope. Nancy Pelosi used the threat of the 25th Amendment to push Senile Joe out. It wasn’t subtle, it was a direct ultimatum.

And PuddinHead is still crowing about how he woulda won.

Totally delusional.

Election Night 1994 was truly one for the ages. I still gleefully recall the media talking heads consoling one another, trying to figure out what went wrong.

Trump should bar all members of the gaslight media from White House press briefings. Unless and until they admit all their individual lies, apologize for each, and pay fines (or serve time) for undeclared campaign contributions.

And it took them maybe and hour, to realize it wasn’t incumbents that were taking a beating nationwide in the House, but DEMONRAT incumbents.

It was like, “Huh, what? Oh crap, I didn’t notice THAT!”

I have been saying this for many years, IMHO, it started after the Republican revolution in the 1994 election which Newt Gingrich engineered.

I thought it was when Walter Cronkite lied about Tet in 1968.

I asked a friend, in his nineties about the subject, thinking in the days of Edward R. Murrow the news was reported without bias.

He laughed and said it was almost as bad then.

I have a complete collection of bound Harpers magazines from the first one in the 1840s to 1910.

I stopped with 1910 as their format changed to a lot of fluff and obvious leftist bias began to appear.

I expect that CNN and MSNBC will be in bankruptcy in the near future due to their minuscule audience and more people cutting their cable for streaming services that do not include either of these trash media. Perhaps Elon Musk will buy CNN for a fire sale price. I also look forward to The View going under.

—— there is no evidence -——

That’s the crux of the matter.

There is evidence but it exists beyond the reach of the American legal system. The evidence is unobtainable so in the legal sense, it does not exist. Since the evidence does not exist it logically legally follows that no crime was committed.

The fruits of the crime can not be identified and thus can’t be found. For that reason, Hillary Clinton purchases everything with a Master Card account that exists in a bank account belonging to a corporation C that is controlled by another corporation D. The balance due is automatically paid each month by the American branch of the off shore bank that owns the account controlled by Corporation C that is reimbursed monthly by funds from corporation D that exists in a totally different legal jurisdiction.
