It’s one thing for a president to pardon his son. It’s another to do it like this.
Biden didn’t just pardon his son for his convictions on tax and gun charges, but for any “offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014, through December 1, 2024.”
That’s a nearly 11-year period during which any federal crime Hunter Biden might have committed — and there are none we are aware of beyond what’s already been adjudicated — can’t be prosecuted. It notably covers when he was appointed to the board of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma in 2014 all the way through Sunday, well after the crimes for which he was prosecuted.
Hunter Biden hasn’t been charged for his activities with regard to Burisma or anything beyond his convictions, and nothing in the public record suggests criminal charges could be around the bend. Congressional Republicans have also probed the Burisma matter and Hunter Biden extensively and could seemingly have uncovered chargeable crimes if they existed, but haven’t done so.
Even still, the scope of the pardon is remarkable. Experts say there is little to no precedent for a pardon covering such a wide range of activity over such a long period of time, with the closest being Gerald Ford’s 1974 pardon of Richard M. Nixon after Nixon resigned post-Watergate
Hunter Biden’s pardon “isn’t tied to any special counsel investigation or charging document,” Sam Morison, who spent 13 years working for the Justice Department’s Office of Pardon Attorney, said via email. “The only pardon grant that comes close is Ford’s pardon of Nixon for any crimes he may have committed from 1969 to 1974, which on its face would have included crimes (if any) unrelated to Watergate.”

Ukrainian money laundering for the Biden crime family for 10 years, plus cocaine in the White House, now okay!
Compost proves it can see, but chooses to spread lies most of the time.
This needs to be escalated to whatever court exists.
I understand the President’s Pardon for convictions that he may deem unjust.
But, a blanket exemption for family, for anything done (known and unknown) for a decade; is Executive abuse of power.
This doesn’t even begin to touch the “Conflict of Interest” issue.
can’t he pardon him for all future criminal acts too?
JUST IN: Biden pardons Satan!!!! Expects kickbacks.
Which proves beyond a shadow of a doubt Hunter has been a very, very bad boy for those 11 years. Including when Trump was in office.
Biden pardoned Federal crimes. Go after Hunter at the State level.
Biden pardoned Hunter of all crimes, known or unknown, from January 1, 2014.
Not coincidentally, 2014 was the year Hunter started “working” as a million dollar a year board member at Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, Burisma’s first outside board member.
Hunter’s corrupt global influence-peddling of his father was well known. When foreign figures were giving him millions of dollars, Hunter admits to breaking the law, that he was a crack addict and alcoholic, writing in his book that “Drinking a quart of vodka a day by yourself in a room is absolutely, completely debilitating” as was “smoking crack around the clock.”
Yet Hunter was not some hapless junkie in Times Square snatching purses to feed his addiction.
<><>he is the son of the most powerful man on the globe
<><>he was flying around the world free, mooching off taxpayers on dad’s plane, AF Two,
<><>he has a tax-funded Secret Service detail
<><>he was vacuuming up millions selling dad’s influence
<><>he was allegedly distributing the money to various Biden family members
<><>he was organizing a labyrinth of shell companies and LLC money laundries
<><>he was selling out America left and right.
<><>he was undermining American families’ safety and security.
It is odd. Certainly a prosecutor can find a different charge, if Biden was worried about that. But isn’t there a statute of limitations factor, protecting Hunter Biden from being charged for crimes ten years ago?
POTUS in name only?
I don’t think this will help any of them earning brownie points for the Pearly Gates.
The Presidential pardon power is discretionary, unlimited, unrestricted, and unreviewable by anyone. I'd say just about any father would (and should) do this for his son if required.
We need to just live with it.
Why January 1, 2014? Because that is the date Hunter began his illegal business dealings.
How can a president pardon for crimes that have not yet been prosecuted? That would make it immunity.
It worked for Ford / Nixon.
can’t he pardon him for all future criminal acts too?

He can not. And that is where Hunter and Joe are screwed. Their pardon gimmick runs out on 01/20/2025. Unfortunately for them their Biden Family Crime Syndicate will still be in motion.
And that’s when Bondi begins her prosecution.
Rob Biden (Hunter), has been the dim-witted bagman for the Biden cabal for the last 25 years. A truly amoral family with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
We need to just live with it.
