It's that time of year where we gather with Loved ones and "not so loved" ones.
This will be an ongoing thread through the holidays where we can vent about those who we would rather not be around but are required to do so.
Feel free to vent here about that special someone who manages to ruin your holidays, inlaws you abhor having over for dinner, and even that boss or co-worker who destroys the Xmas spirit.

In September the daughter of my wife’s lifelong friend visited with her husband in tow.
My wife innocently and without thinking started a conversation about politics.
The lady’s huband made the following statemtent: “Trump is an idiot but he is the lesser of two evils so that I have to vote for him.”
My reply was, “Geez, I wonder how he was able to use that idiocy to amass billions of dollars?”
He was initially dumbfounded but then realized that I was not joking. He got an angry face, got up and told his wife, “We are leaving!” I suppose he realized that he had better get out of my castle before I physically threw him out!
Correct, boundaries. Adults.
Boundaries are a form of self control.

Yes, we never let anyone manipulate and rearrange our brains.
Is he abusive (that you know of) with your sister? If not, his controlling personality could escalate and we could be seeing this story on ID some day.
My friend’s husband retired before she did. When she returned home from work on her husband’s first day as a retiree, she found that he had re-arranged EVERYTHING in the kitchen!
“Put it all back!” He did. (She had ‘a tone’.)

I found out on Thanksgiving Day that one of my sisters (I have many and they all seem to be Liberal [I don’t ask but it’s pretty obvious]) has permanently blocked my emails.
Oh well.

That’s perfectly okay. Fact is, I think there’s something irrational about you having such a thought. But hey, it’s still a free country now that Trump has been elected for the THIRD consecutive time, so there will be no thought control police knocking down your front door!
