The Dawn of the Age of Kinetic Weaponry

So far, almost nobody in the west fully comprehends the Oreshnik weapon system just demonstrated by Russia. Hat tip to Ted Postol, Scott Ritter and Brian Berletic, the only 3 people I've found so far who fully understand this. I've done the math on the kinetic energy of the submunitions (using estimates for mass), and I've studied up on what's publicly known about these weapons so far. My conclusion? NATO is done. The west has no idea what just hit them. Russia's Oreshnik weapon system is checkmate for NATO and the USA. All U.S. aircraft carriers can be destroyed in minutes. All U.S. military bases, all underground bunkers, all ICBM launch sites, naval shipyards, etc., can be destroyed with NON-NUCLEAR kinetic energy via the Oreshnik.

I believe this weapon is currently very limited in numbers. Unfortunately, the Chinese have probably been involved. The Chicoms probably have this technology. The Russian and Chinese military industrial behemoth will be cranking out these warheads massively. There is no shortage of Russian ICBMs to deliver the warheads anywhere in the world. If DC declares war on Russia, the Capitol, White House and Pentagon could disappear 5 minutes after our radar picked up the inbound Oreshnik. Yes, they can be mounted on loitering subs off our east coast. It would be a conventional kinetic strike. Zero damage, zero fallout in Alexandria! Concede the conventional checkmate. Don’t commit suicide out of frustration. Make peace.

I don’t think you know what the word “kinetic” means.
A .22 caliber pistol is a kinetic weapon.

Hyperbole much?
Is this guy a teenage girl or a man? No need to answer, it’s the former.

Where does the assumption we can’t counter these weapons or don’t already have them ourselves come from?

“It would be a conventional kinetic strike. Zero damage, zero fallout”...
So no damage? Then why do it?
To: hardspunned
Since you mention it as kinetic, how much mass is involved? It would have to be a large mass to do any damage. And this limits it to only the most powerful rockets?

While our land-based ICBMs are ageing out and their replacement is decades away (if ever).
But let's spend a few trillion on a hand-full of "heavy" bombers that don't even have the bomb capacity of the paltry B-2s.
I think the Trump administration is in for a surprise at how far our military has regressed in just four years.

Vlad in his latest speech stated they will give a 72 hour notice to evacuate his targeted areas. It behooves the war cheerleaders to start listening to Vlad, he means what he says.
That said, a sure fire method of bringing the West and Ukraine to the table is to level Kiev , with a non nuclear western style “ shock and awe”. Once Kiev is uninhabitable, I am sure the West will see the errors of their despicable ways….
…..and put an end to the US’s forever wars.

X post: "...The west must now either back off or go nuclear. They will probably choose to go nuclear out of desperation, be warned..." Hopefully, DC will have enough sense to wait until Mr. Trump is in office (but I won't be holding my breath, given the Biden admin/swamp/deep state track record)...

A sling, a bow, or a spear is a kinetic weapon. Or just a rock. But the sciency-sounding word implies high-tech do-wackys.

It appears that the use of the word “kinetic” in the phrase “non-nuclear kinetic energy” is intended to differentiate between energy derived from motion (kinetic energy) and energy that comes from nuclear reactions (nuclear energy).

Is this like Rods from God? I thought we had that already. "Rods From God" were purely un-powered gravity-drop kinetic -- just huge shafts of tungsten, etc. No warhead attached. They were to be dropped from space. It was determined to be impractical and no, we don't have that already.
The Oreshnik is different in a few important ways. For example:
- It is powered, not gravity dropped.
- It can carry a warhead, possibly a nuclear one.
- It can be a MIRV, delivering multiple warheads
