Americans consume about 6.3 billion pounds of seafood each year, making the United States the second largest consumer of seafood in the world after China, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce. Whether enjoyed at home or eaten with family and friends while out, fish is a tasty, healthy protein that can be served in countless ways.

On east side of Seattle - Big Fish Grill! YUM YUM. Wild caught salmon. Oh so good!
Did he? I didn’t know that. Me and siblings drove parents nuts playing and re-playing that soundtrack album!
YES!
Wherever you can get fresh walleye or halibut is the best place!
45 years ago I worked in Houston and had a friend who owned a shrimp boat. You’d be surprised at what comes up in the net besides shrimp. I got spoiled with home cooked fresh caught fish.
There is only one left in Akron, Ohio. And OHow I wish I could gO to OHIO and have that fish (if it’s still made like Treacher had it done) because that stuff was the real deal. Wow!
The Chinese. 98% of the frozen fish in Kroger is from China. Farm raised (highly polluted) shrimp are from SE Asia and environs. I buy only wild caught shrimp from the gulf. If you saw the conditions of the environment where these shrimp are farmed you would toss your cookies.
My daughter has seen first hand the waters where the "wild caught" Chinese fish comes from. Horrifying.
If you think these chains are not serving Chinese caught fish, you are sorely mistaken.
‘And here’s the dear boy himself.....Merrrrvynnn!”
L didn’t even know Legal Seafood was a chain. I went to the one in Boston with BlackElk (RIP) after a Ralph Reed led Catholic Alliance conference. It was VERY good.
For true “fast food” seafood, Long John Silver has been bad for decades, being mostly cheap breeading and cheaper vegetable oil.
Captain D’s, which is based in the southeast, is a VERY good value in chain seafood.
In Connecticut, I used to like Royal Guard in Meriden, until some near east Asians bought it, and the quality nose-dived. Captain Seas’ in Wallingford is great fast food seafood, but the hot dogs are even better.
😁😁
I buy it at Sams produce.
Culver’s cod sandwich is outstanding. You can taste the cod.
I’m from South Florida.
Agree with you and wonder how many here have ever tried grilled, Blackened dolphin?
A lot of our sea food restaurants are located on the water.
I never eat at CHAIN shops . Always seek a family run shop for my sushi , yakitori , or whatever here in Japan . Thankfully , many still exist .
Bonefish Grill sucks. McCormick & Schmick’s and Ocean Prime are excellent but you have to finance the price.
Long John Silver’s serves fish? I thought those were just long, wide, thin hushpuppies with fish flavoring in the center.
I eat about a third of that.
I like it for the occasional fried, battered fish. Most of the time I cook my own in various ways.
Loved Arthur Treacher’s. I guess they shut down eons ago. I don’t think I’ve seen one since shortly after high school.
