NewsChannel 13’s Mark Mulholland has learned that Robert Fisher, the man who raped and killed a 3-year-old girl in Rensselaer, has died in prison.
Fisher had just begun serving his sentence of 20 years to life at Elmira Correctional Facility.
Fisher killed little Josefina Cunningham in July of 2023.
When he was sentenced last month, Judge Debra Young lashed out at Fisher, who drugged the little girl, raped her, killed her and tried to cover up what he’d done.
He kept his head down during the proceeding.
After sentencing, Josie’s relative said: “the case deserves the death penalty.”

He was her mother’s friend and had just started staying at the house at night for a few days before he raped her. It was of course unimaginably brutal and he tried to hide his crime with more brutality - she was African American and he wiped her face with chlorox so much that the pigment burned off her skin, he also stuffed those clorox wipes inside her body. He did all this while she was alive. She couldn’t endure the shock so her body shut down. She was foaming at the mouth when first responders arrived. Died at the hospital.
Many first responders attended the trial to honor her sweet little self.
What a sick society, to rely on its worst sociopaths and criminals to deliver justice.
This guy should have been executed, in public, as soon as the verdict was returned.

Prison has a code of I dunno what to call it exactly, ethics maybe? That if you rape and kill a child, that you’re a dead man walking.

How do all of you express your hate for the daily, public-funded horrors at your local abortion mill? Aaahhh, it’s something you have to accept and keep driving? So no outward hate BUT do you maybe say a prayer for the babies getting ripped limb from limb or expelled violently into a toilet? Prayer for the woman/girl who is driven there by her father? Do you hate the Abortionist? Do you hope for their violent demise?
I wonder if he had enough time to say The Act of Contrition before he was terminated with extreme prejudice?

I really hope he received his justice at the hands and feet of other inmates. He deserved to suffer a great deal before he died. His crime against a 3 year old girl was evil and deserving of a death sentence. It’s better if he got it at the hands of inmates rather than while laying on a bed while being sedated.
God forgive me for hoping it was slow and painful.
