Barry Goldwater's 1964 presidential campaign slogan was "In Your Heart You Know He's Right." It was Goldwater's way of saying that the conservative principles he espoused resonated with the majority of Americans, despite any reluctance they might have to express them publicly.
On today's Morning Joe, occasional Biden speechwriter Jon Meacham -- a man no longer capable of making Biden sound coherent -- turned Goldwater's slogan on its head. He said of traditional Republicans who support Trump: "In their hearts they know [it's] wrong."

No, Mr. Meacham, it is not wrong to be against polices which allow for thriving child sex slavery and trafficking.
It is not wrong to be against policies allowing fentanyl and other deadly drugs to just free flow across the border and destroy people, families, and communities.
It is not wrong to support energy independence.
It is not wrong to support policies which will stop the inflation crushing the middle and working classes from doing basic life events.
It is not wrong to not support foreign policy which lead to the Afghanistan disaster and all of those lives lost, the Ukraine disaster, etc.
Etc, etc, etc.
Grow up, Mr. Meacham.

Even if I felt that way about Trump, I know in my HEAD that supporting criminals, communists and pedophiles is far worse.
Meacham was the “Soul of America” guy in 2020.
Now that that routine has gone stale, he’s moved on to the heart.
Every part of my body knows that Donald Trump is,by far,the better of the two choices and is,in fact,a very good choice.
Jon Meacham is a “historian” and a speechwriter for Biden.
