Air fryers are certified miracle workers when it comes to getting dinner out on the table quickly. How do they work, though? They cook your meals using bursts of hot convection heat. The result is a series of savory, crispy foods that you'd never guess were cooked in an air fryer. And they're great for anything from chicken thighs to a filet of salmon. But while there are plenty of things that you can cook in an air fryer, there are only a few that you should.

The spotted owl is best over wood...

I prefer spotted owls that seek out the better shelter of Walmart Signs, the warmth makes them more tender, and their increased intelligence may transfer to the consumer.

You should never cook revenge in an air fryer. It’s a dish best served cold.

I’ll see myself out.

Oh, yeah, concur on the steak. You don’t get the char but you can control the cook to whatever shade of pink inside that you like. I had to be brought around, but it’s a fact.

I routinely do boneless pork chops in the air fryer, with excellent juicy results

Might be kinda hard to squeeze em in there…..

Just this past weekend we did jalapeño poppers, tater tots, a grilled cheese sandwich. They all came out great. The grilled cheese was my wife’s thing. I really don’t know how that came out…

Chunks of stuff work better than thinner filets. The blowing hot air dries out the filets, if you’re not careful.

Chunks chicken/pork/beef, of pineapple, of yellow/orange pepper, maybe a splash of olive oil.
Fatty cuts work best.

Conv ovens with French Doors have been in Europe for a very long time.

Pork chops btdt
Steak btdt
Unbreaded chicken breasts btdt

All good. I don’t buy skinless chicken but I’m sure they’d be fine coated in oil. Probably better breaded.

Any small cuts of meat are good. Closer to grilled than pan frying. Those small pre-seasoned pork tenderloins come out really good.
