My CC is fine - Rejection only happens on Free Republic
Send me the cash. I’ll make sure FR gets it.
In the meantime, there have been many threads answering this issue. Have you read them?
Steve here from the NSA. Looks like your account is being attacked. Go to Best Buy and buy fivd $1000 gift cards and call me with the numbers and I will make sure your account is up to date.
I never figured out how that gift card scam worked. All I know is that people fall for it.
Many threads on this subject?
Maybe on your computer.
No credit card posts in the right side margin.
No credit card posts in the first 50 titles on my FR home page.
I thought I was being helpful.
I sent Jim the same info yesterday.
Glad it’s not just my debit card.
That would be worse :)

There are many methods. Here’s a common one. You get an email saying you won a great deal of money, or are due a large refund. Call the phone number listed for details.
The scammer will tell you to buy a gift card, then give them the card’s scratch-off number. Your winnings (or refund) will be loaded onto the card. The scammer will immediately buy something with that card. You of course get nothing.
Now here’s the thing. If the federal government really cared about protecting people, they could easily call-flood those phone numbers. That would shut the scammers down.
There are some YouTubers who do just that. But they can only do so much.
Call your credit card CO and ask them whats up.
Try turning off your VPN. That’s what I do.
I am a Nigerian prince and I have 40 million dollars I need to get out of the country....
My card has been turned down numerous times and contacted Jim and never fixed. Frustrated.

Weird. I’ve been donating to FR quarterly for nearly 24 years. I’ve never had a problem with any of my credit cards. Maybe your CC provider has FR black listed..
Thanks, but I do not use a VPN.
I have used a Microsoft OS and Browser for 30 years.
So far, so good.
I know BOA flagged my last as fraud, until I confirmed it; also happened with a couple of other conservative causes. i am on a social credit score list with them somewhere.
That is always my first concern.
My second concern - a hacker attack on FR.
I made a donation at Judicial Watch after the rejection at Free Republic, and the charge went through just fine.
I use a major bank card. They would send me an email if they were blocking FR.
This is the third or fourth time this has happened to me in the last few years at FR.
It would seem to me it would be something on the CC company end. FR is is just taking donations so they wouldn’t be concerned about getting ripped off and having their own blacklist.
There is a channel called Scammer Payback on YouTube that’s funny to watch. He engages the scammers and hacks their computers and various cameras on their computers and in their building.... he even gives them their addresses and real names on occasion.
Basically... the scammed will tell you they need to give you some money and they create a fake web page of your bank account and place way more money in it than they said they would.
Perhaps they tell you they will give you $250 as a rebate, and have you fill out the form as they watch. But... what they do is add an extra 0 at the end to make it look like they gave you $2,500 instead. To those who are unaware of what they did, it looks genuine.
Then they tell you some sad story about how they have family at home and will lose their job if you don’t send them the extra money back.
They usually send to to a place like Target or Walmart to buy gift cards and you call them back when you get home so you can give them the card info.
My late husband fell for it. A phone call in the middle of the night, saying the caller was a city police who had arrested his son for domestic abuse, but if he would run down and get a Walgreens gift card, he could pay the fine immediately and get his release. Since the son was a police captain in a town 300 miles away, my hubby was confused but also panic stricken as he knew that this would ruin his career. They make the patsy stay on the phone with them in a state of panic until they have that card no. and then suddenly the fines have increased and they need another card. This goes on until the mark is out of money or wise up and hang up.
I send a check
