Notice the first call he made was to his agent that he kept on speaker phone. so part of the delay was getting that agent on the phone.

It will be interesting to see if Ego tripper had higher rank and if he is the one put on leave.
If you get pulled over for a traffic violation and have no valid driver’s license, you are going to jail until arraignment. It doesn’t matter who you are.

Cops went way overboard on this and I hope he sues the heck out of the department.
Hill was a dick right from the get go. He demanded that cops not bang on his window, which he should have opened the minute the cops approached. Then he closed it and ignored their legal commands. No cop should be expected to talk to someone thru a heavily tinted window. Hill was insolent and defiant and he got what he deserved. Just because he’s a “famous” athlete doesn’t mean he’s above the law.
Flaming A-hole. Punched his 20 yr old pregnant girlfriend in the face and tossed her around like a ragdoll, broke his 3 year old son’s arm, hit with two other paternity suits, shoved a guy working at a marina, broke another woman’s leg.
Then plays idiot with the cops rolling up his window and being a hard case.
Cops were right on this one.
Then his other flaming A-hole teammate parks in the street and gets out to intervene.
Cops handled this at a fairly low level from what I saw. No weapons or tasers used, no beating, and A-hole # 2 wasn’t even charged, but was released.

Those are Miami-Dade Sheriff Deputies. (MDPD Motorcycle officers wear that diagonal strap).
Though faint, the first LEO has a Cuban accent. Another has a much-pronounced Cuban accent.
Cubans in general have an “more-important” attitude that they, themselves, acknowledge as “Cubanaso”. This is very pronounced in the more recent immigrants from Cuba.
I didn’t see this kind of LEO activity in the 45 years I lived in Miami, so this must be a new attitude of the 2nd and 3rd generation of Cubans.
MDPD officers had formerly been much more mellow than these. (More “Anglo”).
This portends poorly for future LEO recruits that will surely be drawn from our “undocumented migrant” population.
Florida Counties (and FL State DOT) are hiring from this cadre.
My take on the whole affair.
Do what the cop asks you to do.
You will get your day in court.
